3rd POV
As the young adventurers stayed at the Coral Ruins, they didn't consider the consciousness of their parents. King Vintronel became worried when his Queen asked him that if their son, Victor is coming home late. The King freaked out and got all worked up. Left his papers and hurried to the phone.
Calling the bus driver, asking where the bus dropped off. The driver answered, "To the Coral Ruins."
The King was relieved but it still worries him. The Queen is comforting the King, who's pacing back and forth. There was no way to contact the kingdom of mermaids. They're underwater, phones wouldn't work, letters would be soggy and hard to read.
So what can they do? Just wait? The King doesn't accept waiting. He calls back the bus driver, packs up his belongings and searched for the kids.
At this point Victoria's mom, Venice, doesn't even know what's going on. She thought the kids we're going to a tutor. She asked the Queen about the King's outbursts. The Queen replied with, "Haven't you noticed? The kids aren't home yet, it's very late.."
Venice just rubbed her temples and replied, "What kind of tutor would they be if they're gonna take so long?"
The Queen looked blankly at Venice. "They went on a trip. A trip to Coral Ruins." The Queen said to Venice.Venice was taken aback, she furrowed her brows and said, "Say what now? A trip? How come I didn't know about this?"
The Queen frowned, trying to calm down Venice, she said, "Relax, we know where Coral Ruins are, I'm sure Vin will find them."~ Beach of Coral Ruins ~
"I don't know where they are! Agh!" The King started to get frustrated. He brought his army to search the beach. They found Victor's torn pants and underwear. Which was very alarming.
"Did he get eaten? No.. No! That would be absurd!" The King examined the clothes. There's one more thing they found, Victor's suitcase full of viles and bottles with books, and Victoria's backpack.
All were neatly laying on the ground. This gives the King hope that they would come back, but they weren't sure.
Venice arrived at the beach shortly after the King arrived. "Vintronel! You didn't mention this to me? The kids! Where are the kids!?" Venice walked over to the King, completely agitated. "I'm trying my best Venice. Stop fueling the fire." The King said, standing still and looking down to Venice.
"See?! All of this happened because your stupid ass decided to make me come to the palace! We would've been happier and safe at the village! Yet you insisted that I come here! Ridiculous!" Venice said, stomping around and pointing fingers at the King.
The King motioned his hand to a stop sign, glaring at Venice who's now quiet but her face remained outraged. "I never invited you here, you're the one who sent the letter of your arrival. Don't blame me sister. Your unwise decision led you to this. Don't act like I'm at fault here."
Venice raised a brow to the King. "Me? Sending a letter? That's the most ridiculous thing!" Venice crossed her arms and shook her head.
"Yes! You even.. Wait. You didn't?" The King went closer to Venice. "Of course I didn't! The only reason I went here is because you wanted Victoria to be part of that Elite School shit!" Venice looked away and looked at the ground.
"You said you wanted Victoria to live with us, and you wanted her to go to Elite School! You said it in the letter!" The King rubbed his forehead and demanded an explanation.
"Look, why don't we talk about this at the castle? This wouldn't be reasonable place." The King said to her. Venice didn't say anything and kept looking at the ocean.
It's dark outside, their limited light source from the lamps they brought aren't gonna last long. So they decided to go home.
The Queen waited outside the castle for them. "Oh thank goodness.. Did you find the kids? Are they okay?" The Queen had a worried look on her face. "We never found them." The King sighed. The Queen hugged him to comfort the King.
"But, we found their belongings. We're hoping they'll come back." The King lowered his head and grabbed his beard. He turned his head to Venice. "Let's talk inside." Says Venice and glared at him.
The King dismissed his soldiers and went inside to talk to Venice, "Venice. Explain." The King crossed his arms. "I don't have to explain shit to you! Don't even say anything.. This is your failing!" Venice paced back and forth, waving her arms around, completely agitated.
"I have this letter, it was not long ago. Could you explain this?" The King pulled out a letter. It was neatly folded. He opened it and showed it to Venice.
Venice grabbed the letter, her brows furrowed even more, "Seriously?? You think this is my handwriting? What the.. It's not even my signature!"
The King was dumbfounded. He squinted his eyes and rubbed his cheek."Uh.. I don't remember your handwriting—and signature.." The King said to Venice. Venice facepalmed and shook her head. "For the love of-! How did you even? Ugh!" Venice covered her mouth and let her hand pull down, which made her look like a ghost.
The King awkwardly stood there, but began to suspect. "Wait, this isn't a set-up right?" The King said to Venice.
"You know what? I don't even want to see your face.. Just—Leave me alone." Venice walked out and went to her room. The King went to the throne room, where his Queen sat down drinking wine. "I heard it all. You can tell me about it if you want to.."
The King sat down beside her, the King sat down moping. Hands on his eyes, rubbing it up and down."Agh.. Avelline, I don't know what to do.. My stubborn sister is refusing to cooperate with me. She wants nothing to do with the kingdom, and the kids? So frustrating!" The King ranted to his Queen.
"Oh, my poor King.." The Queen stroked the King's hair.
The King suddenly sat straight, "Avelline.. There's something bothering me.."
The Queen nodded to the King. "Yes?"
"The letter was false, Venice never sent a letter to us." The King turned his head to the Queen. The Queen raised an eyebrow, "Whatever do you mean by that? We have the letter, you showed it her right?"
The King nodded. "Yes, but it's not even her handwriting, nor her signature.."
The King then rested his chin on his intertwined hands."It is unusual that Venice suddenly wanted to visit us, she even said that I sent her a letter, I didn't even know where she's been!" The King said.
The Queen frowned. "You don't think—"The king furrowed his brows, "Of course I think so. Someone's meddling with us, and I don't like it."
