"How many times do you think they're going to let you skip counseling?"

XJ rolled over on her back, slightly to the right. She lowered her golden-rimmed sunglasses, which glinted in the sun, to peer over the top at Harry. "Do you really think that question matters?"

Harry chuckled, tightening his arm around her waist. "Good point; you'll only go when you feel like it."

"Damn right."

XJ currently had her head in Harry's lap, and it had been there for the hour or so that they had been on the rooftop, enjoying the weather. The amount of sunlight on Auradon was still extraordinary to them due to the sheer lack of it back on the Isle, and the couple had made it their top priority to absorb as much vitamin D as possible. It was a continuous gag between the two that Harry was too pale for a pirate, while XJ wasn't the correct shade for someone of Asian descent.

"How's group counseling though? You go to those." Harry pointed out, his fingers absentmindedly playing with her hair, which was only allowed to be relieved from its ponytail around him and him only.

XJ groaned. "I only go because I need to know what the people I've screwed over think, and if they want to get back at me. Other than that, it's torture."

"Nobody wants revenge, lass; nobody would dare. Not after you manifested a giant golden dragon."

"I don't think so," XJ scoffed. "Have you seen Lonnie? She's eerily quiet, which means she's planning something, and although there's a high possibility that it won't work, I will rip her to shreds the second I get wind that she's going to try."

Harry sighed. "Jane's close to her; Carlos won't be too happy if his girlfriend has to mourn her best friend."

"Well, too bad. I have nothing against him, it's just that he's..." XJ struggled to find the right words. "He's too..."

"Nice." Harry suggested.

"Yeah," XJ nodded. "Too nice for a villain kid, even on the Isle. It's strange – he hasn't gone soft from coming to Auradon; he's always been soft."

"I know. I talk to him sometimes."

XJ glanced up at Harry's eyes, her own face reflected, the image swimming in a sea of hazel mixed with honey. "What do you ask him? What does he say?"

"Nothing much," Harry shrugged. "He kind of avoids both of us as much as he can. I think he's still afraid of you. Me, not so much."

"Out of the two of us, I think we can both agree that I'm much scarier."

Harry laughed, his chest giving out a low rumble. "I think everyone agrees, lass." he bent down and kissed XJ, who wrapped her arms around his neck.

XJ was the first to pull away. She always was. Harry was powerless to stop himself. "So what did Carlos say?"

"Well," Harry bent his knees so that XJ was lifted closer to him, allowing him to bury his face in her neck. "He said that it's nice to have more VKs over. Makes it feel a little less lonely here. Even if he has Mal and the rest, they're all occupied doing their own thing."

"Such as?"

"Mal has Ben and royal responsibilities," Harry snorted. "Evie has her own fashion business going on as well as Doug, and Jay's caught up in sports, especially tourney, which Carlos isn't really the best at."

"But he's got Jane with him, and I doubt that either of them have much to do."

"Yeah, but Jane's Auradonian, Xiao. She doesn't really know Carlos. Not as well as a couple should."
