Jewel's POV

     I stirred when I felt something tickling me on my stomach, I opened my eye slightly when last night event floods back into my memory. The argument with Fikayo and his apology, which shocked me because he doesn't seem to me like the kind of person to apologize to people. When he dropped me at home yesterday and kissed me good night, one thing led to another and we end up in my room having a hot make-out session before he decided I should call it a night and I ask him to stay the night which he agreed Without a protest. I'm also glad he didn't push for sex last night, because I don't believe in having sex at the early stage of relationship.

       " Good morning" he greeted looking at me with an emotion i don't recognize.
 
       " Good morning, how was your night?" I asked, feeling hot all of a sudden because I can still feel his fingers drawing irregular shapes on my lower abdomen.

    He sighed before replying with a  " best night ever" and he drew me closer and burrow his face in my neck and sniffs, which tickles me lightly and make me giggle

     "Are you serious right now? Sniffing my neck"

    " Hmm! I want to remember your scent when I leave till I can sniff you again" he said teasingly and continue sniffing me.

     I giggled louder and try to wiggle away from his embrace, he growls lightly and drew me closer. He moves away from my neck and took my lips into his in an extremely hot, pant drenching kiss, I moaned loudly and brought my hand to his neck, God!  this guy can kiss!, I can continue kissing him for years and I wouldn't get tired but fate another thing in store because at that moment a phone rang out.

    Fikayo growled loudly before picking his phone from the table

    " What!!!" he snapped loudly at the person on the other end, I pitied the poor soul.

    He sighed loudly, pulling his hair in frustration before replying

   " I'll be there shortly". He threw the phone on the table and dropped beside me on the bed and hug me right

   " What happen" I asked
    " It's a family stuff and it's kind of an emergency" he replied
    " Oh! Then go, why are you feeling like someone took away your favorite toy" I said playfully, trying to lighten his mood and it works because he chuckled lightly

     " Well it's something like that, because I have to leave now and you are like my favorite person or 'toy' as you say, right now" he said and tighten his hold on me

   " If you continue tightening your hold on me, I might forget how to breathe" I teased. " And it's not like I'm going to disappear, you are welcome to come back here when you're done with your business"

  " I'll take you up on that offer" he said. He got up and threw on his shirt, he dropped on my bedside last.

   I continue watching him as he dressed up, the question that has been bugging me since his display yesterday resurfaced on my mind and I decided to ask him

  " Ayomi?" I called
" Yes?" He looked at me in question
" What am I to you?, I've always noticed you treated me differently from others and...... there is the possessiveness you displayed yesterday and you getting clingy to me  this morning. I only encourage it........ because, I like you but what about you? Do you like me or what?"

     I noticed he has stopped what he was doing and he looked at me with an unreadable expression before he grinned at me and came closer, his face almost touching mine and said

    " I don't like you Jewel" my heart sank at that. But his next statement leaves me in daze
   " I love you" and with that he kissed my head and walk out of my room.

   The sound of my entrance door close snapped me out of my daze. And what happened registered in my, I threw my head on my pillow and screamed loudly in happiness.

  I was mumbling along to 'Amen' by tope Alabi that is playing on my mp3 while frying the plantain I want to eat with the jollof rice I cooked earlier, when I felt a hand circling around my waist. I jumped slightly before relaxing when I recognize the manly scent around me.

    " How did you get the key" I asked while removing the plantains from the oil and turning off the cooker

  " Good afternoon to you too. It's probably because I own the apartment" he said while sniffing my hair

    I turned around and circle my hand around his neck before giving him a welcome kiss and move away from him to serve to food on the table
" Will you stop sniffing me, you are not a dog"
  I can tell he's following me.

" Who tells you I'm not a dog, I'll continue sniffing you as long as I like"

I only rolled my eye before digging in to my food.

Fikayo's POV

   I'm in my heaven, my mate likes me and she's laying in my arms. I wouldn't have left this morning if not for the fact that what my beta called me for was really important, two rogues were caught at the border so I went to check them I'm not sure if they are still alive because I made sure they regret interrupting my moment with my mate.
  I hugged her tighter and sniffs her neck which I know she loves even though she pretends it irks her.

   " Hmm! The best part of this is that I got to show off to our colleagues that their boss is my boyfriend"

   I laughed loudly at that, hmm! I noticed I've doing that lately. I'm happy she's also as possessive of me, but I don't like the fact that she called me her boyfriend, I'm not some boy, I'm her man, a man she's going to spend her life time with, but I won't bring that up now I want to continue enjoying my mate's presence until the truth about my nature comes out, which I know will happen soon.
