Chapter 60 (Final)

[ Mina ]
I couldn't handle the yelling anymore. I ran and ran. Till I got to that place. The place I found Chaeyoung, it felt like ages ago. I sat down before laying down completely. I started crying, balling my eyes out. I really love her. But everything feels different, since I came outside. I mean there's a whole world for me to explore and I don't even remember how the town I grew up in looked. I still can't find my way around my neighborhood. It's sad really. I do wanna be there for Chaeyoung but my whole world changed when I stepped outside.

"Mina" I heard a heavily breathing voice say. I open my eyes and see that it's Sana. "Unnie" I quietly say and wipe my eyes. She helped my up. "So much have happened in such a short time" tears fell again, she pulled me into a hug.
"I'm here...shhh...I'm always here" she tried to calm me. She carefully lead me to the side of the road, keeping me safe from the cars if they were to drive by.

She stoke my hair "you can always talk with me" she let out a sigh "even if you don't want to talk, I will still be here" she added. "T-thank you for always protecting me" I said and pulled back from the hug. She wiped my tears, took my hand and lead me home. I gently opened the door to my room, Chaeyoung wasn't there. "She's in Momo's room" Sana said behind me. We said goodnight and I went over to my bed and laid down. The memories came flowing.

"Wake up sleepyhead!" Chaeyoung shook me "its boring being awake alone" I smiled at her cuteness. "You're awake!" She cheered. She showered me with kisses. I finally opened my eyes. Only to see a cute little cub over me. She had put her hair up a little pigtail. I stuck out my lips and she quickly kissed me.
"Are you hungry?" I asked and ruffled her hair. I took on my robe and stood up.

"Of course" she smiled and took my hand before we walked downstairs.
"My cute penguin" she kissed my cheek "my cute little tiger" I kissed her cheek back. "Pancakes?" I asked, she nodded. We quickly put together a batter and started making them. We made a little stack to each of us and I drew a penguin on hers with whipped cream and blueberries. She made me a really cool tiger.
"So artsy" I smiled to her. We laughed and ate the pancakes before we laid together in the bed again, cuddling and talking. Talking about our life together.

As the memories stopped, started my tears. I knew what I had to say....what I had to do. But just thinking about it hurt so much. I should do it tomorrow....if I can. I slowly went over to my desk, where I had just been sitting some time ago but it felt more like hours had past. I pulled out my calendar. I put two marks on it, one today and one tomorrow. I almost couldn't see my writing through the wall of tears. I found a paper and envelope. I cried for a few minutes before I started writing the letter. When I was done writing, I carefully placed the letter inside the envelope and closed it. Turning it around and then addressing it to Chaeyoung. I cleaned the table, as if all that didn't happen. Finally walking over to the bed again. Neatly placing the letter in my nightstand before I lay down.
I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep much, if a little at all.

[ Chaeyoung ]
I know something is wrong. I mean yes, we have fought before and badly too but this all feels different. Mina seems different....or am I different? After that night...everything changed for the both of us. I'm so confused.
I couldn't sleep at all and the sun is starting to peak it's color through.
We have to talk, today, at least later. I sit up on the bed and look out the widow.
Looking at the birds sitting on the tree in bag yard. There was a nest with little baby birds and a big mother bird. The mother was caring for her little ones.

"Hey" I heard behind me "morning" I said to the half waken Momo. "You're in deep thought huh" she stretched "yeah"
I answered. "I'm gonna make breakfast" Momo said and got up from the bed. "Are you hungry" she asked me, I shook my head while I kept looking out the widow.

I slowly walked over to Mina's room. I knocked on the door, four and slow times. She opened the door and turned her back to me before we spoke a word. She laid down on the bed and tapped the space beside her. I went over to the bed and laid down. We cuddled close. I could feel her breath hit my skin. I felt safe again and I quickly fell into slumber.

I slowly started to wake up, as the warmth from Mina cuddling with me had despaired. She's sitting on her chair by her widow. She most have sensed that I was wake because she spoke up "do you know why I keep this chair here? You probably haven't even thought about it...but the reason is because then I can watch the outside. Day and night. I miss the outside, missed I guess I should say now. I was always so afraid of going outside because of dad. I know you don't know how he died...well I think it's time for me to tell you more" she started to tear up as she spoke about her dad. "Actually I was always a shy kid from what I've been told. As far as I can remember I have hated meeting strangers and my dad always tried to help me talk with people so I could have friends. Because friends are important and they become family, he said that all the time. So one time he took me out grocery shopping, I promised me a toy if I went" Mina softly giggled and made a small smile remembering that.

"So I was just playing with my new toy on the way home, listening to the radio as dad stopped the car out by the street. Just as dad was on his way out...a man jumped inside the car. Dad was confused and tried saying something to him when he pulled out a gun. My dad was afraid that the man would hurt me if he saw me...s-so he jumped out the car. Flustering the man, who also jumps out. At that point the whole thing gets blurry for me. I remember crying hard.
I-I have read the police report some time ago. They said that he was close to the man, giving him his watch and wallet so he must have went over to the other side of the car to hide me. The next thing I remember is him sliding down of the car door I was sitting at...and me hurriedly trying to open the car door before looking up to see the man panicked and running away". I quickly went over to her, pulling her into a hug. "I haven't been out a lot since then... I became more and more scared of going outside. So you see why I sit in this chair so much. I have a lot of things I wanna do and experience but Chaeng...I don't feel like it's fair for you" she cried. "Mina? Are you?" I was shocked.
"I have to say goodbye for now Son Chaeyoung, my little tiger, my love, my first love" she tried to smile "I-I...I" I wanted to say something but she was right, we both have a lot we have to experience for ourselves. "I understand Mina...but remember this is only a bye for now, I will find you, get back to you my ketchup loving, adorable penguin, my love Myoui Mina" we hugged for a while. Then Mina went over to her nightstand and took a envelope laying on it before walking over to me again. "Don't open it yet. Keep it until the right time, I think you already know when" I took the it and carefully looked at it for a moment.

I nodded and smiled to her. She showed me her gummy smile. Then we came closer to each other, I slowly captured her lips. The kiss was slow, filled with emotion and passion, the ones we had for each other. I got lost in the moment quickly but then we had to pulled back for air. We stared into each other's eyes.

So that was 'My best friends sister' wooow a lot of crazy stuff happened lol. Yes this was the final chapter of this book buuuuuuuut it's not the end for their story, this was only the first book.
