The next day, Emmet showed up to work late. Whenever anyone asked why, he just said two simple words, "SHUT UP!" When Gail, the person he trusts the most, came, he went clear with her.
"Emmet, what's wrong?" Gail asked Emmet. "Arguing with Luce again?"
"Gail, it's not just any argument. We argued till... till... we b... brrroke up." Emmet cried.
"What?! Who could've done this to you guys?" Gail was surprised. They were such a cute couple! Why break up???
"It's because of that b-" Emmet suddenly saw Chloe.
Without further ado, Emmet rushed towards Chloe. He gave her a big slap on the face. Everybody looked towards Emmet and Chloe.
"Ouch! Emmet, what is wrong with you?" Chloe asked.
"No, Chloe, what is wrong with YOU." Emmet shot back.
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh don't give me that innocent looking face. YOU CAUSED ME AND LUCY TO BREAK UP!"
Everybody gasped.
"Look I'm sorry okay?!"
"Sorry? You do know that a 'sorry' does not work in this kind of situation, right?" Emmet was even more mad here.
"Then what do you even want me to do? Say sorry to Lucy? I'm not doing it."
"Oh yes you are. I am your boss. I can and I WILL fire you if you do not follow my instructions."
"Ugh fine."
"If you do not get her to see me in a week, I WILL FIRE YOU."
"Okay, okay, don't sweat it!"
Chloe then went to do her construction work.
"Good." Emmet said.
"Man what a d-"
"I CAN STILL HEAR YOU!"
