✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧ IT CAN'T BE MORE IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO BE EVEN MORE NERVOUS. I sat quietly at the table, eating some old cereal we surprisingly had in the cabinet. Aizawa was sitting across from me, reading a newspaper, being especially quiet today. Yesterday was the stressful entrance exam and ever since I got home from the writing portion, Aizawa hasn't said a word. Not even a 'hello' or 'good-morning/goodnight'. All that's consisted of our interaction since I got home yesterday evening has been silent starring. I wouldn't even call that an interaction.
Finally, I've had enough. I drop my fork from my hand into my bowl, making an obnoxious clinking sound.
"Say something... please..." I edge. During the exam, I thought I would for sure pass, but since the universe has given me all night and all morning to dwell on it, my outlook on it had changed. Especially because of my Uncle's silent treatment. "A 'hello' would suffice." I raised a brow.
He put down his paper, which if this was an ordinary day, I would make fun of him for it, but today is not an ordinary day, now is it.
"I'm thinking about going to the store later. You need anything?" He says it so casually. My lips slightly fall agape and my eyes narrow. I look at him like he's got three heads. "You're... you're joking right..."
He lifts his newspaper back up to his face, even taking a sip of his black coffee. "You want to know how you did on the entrance exam." He rightfully concluded.
I nodded, "well, yeah..." since my uncle is a teacher at that fancy hero school, I figured he would give me a little sneak peek.
"You'll find out soon enough."
He's enjoying this.
I leaned back into my seat. I need to get my mind off this matter. My first thought wonders over The Arcade. Remi's arcade. I push my chair away from the table, heading for my room for a change of clothes. Once I got a nice yellow flowy dress on and some slip on's, I exit the apartment. Not before giving Jiji a pat on the head.
As I'm walking down the street, I wonder how Midoriya did. Did he pass? Did I pass?
Who knows.
Just stop caring about it.
Once I reach the arcade, some of my worries instantly melt away. However, a sad frown replaces them as I look around, noticing Remi is still dealing with the aftermath of Bakugou and I's argument.
Remi notices I'm in his establishment and he beams me one his old kind smiles, "Ith Sen! I've missed you, kiddo." He brings me into an unexpected hug. To which it takes me a moment to return.
"I was starting to worry if you would ever come back." he admitted with an embarrassed smile, "you know, since your favorite game is gone and all."
I shake my head, "I was just was busy for a while." I kept the explanation short and brief. He nodded, excepting my answer. "I hope you didn't get into to much trouble defending this old man here." He pointed to himself. I shook my head, falling into our old habits of him carrying the conversation while I listened and played old arcade games.
It was nice for things to become semi-normal again. I liked it. I didn't notice at first, but my lips curled upwards, remaining like that for the rest of my visit.
By the time I left the arcade, the sun was already going down. Remi and I said our goodbyes and I decided home wasn't the place where I wanted to be right now. So instead, I wandered the city. It was starting to grow cold, making me pull my bare arms closer to my body.
A billboard caught my eye, making me have to stop and look at it. Not really to admire it sense the face plastered on it was the number two hero; Endeavor.
My nose scrunched up. He wasn't my favorite. When rumors about him surfaced I lost respect for him. Although they could be just rumors.
"Great, huh." A boy remarked sarcastically from behind.
I turned my head, seeing a bi-colored hair boy with a nasty scar on his right eye. It's one of his most distinguishing features for sure. I scoffed, shaking my head, "no. There's a reason he's number two."
"Agreed." The boy nodded his head, making his interesting hairstyle sway. "Personally, I'm an Eraserhead fan."
This made my eyebrows rise, already finding this boy tolerable. "Me too." I try and play it off like Eraserhead isn't my uncle.
We turn our gaze back to the billboard. Seems like we stood there for a while, maybe he left, I didn't bother to check. But his attempt to start up a conversation clarified that he was still beside me.
"I've been recommended to UA. Should I go?" He asks me out of the blue. I wonder why he would be asking unless he knew I was possibly going to UA. How did he know?
I meet his gaze, he has a small smirk on his lips. He points to my wrist, "I saw the entrance exam bracelet."
That's right, they gave us these before our tests.
I mouthed an 'o'.
"Was it hard? The entrance exam?"
I had to think on it for a moment before deciding it actually was hard. For me, at least towards the end.
"If you knew what you were doing then no," I leaned in like I was unraveling him a top-secret, "but none of us knew what we were doing."
A scoff was heard from him, a tiny smile even was on his face, "Well. I hope you made it in." He ended the short conversation, walking to wherever he was going. I watched him for a moment. He seemed nice, though he reminded me a lot like myself.
I shrugged it off, beginning for home.
Soon, the letter would be here. Soon, it would tell me what my future held.
Would it say our condolences or congratulations?
