Chapter Twelve

Vincenzo POV

It has been two days since we got some information on Mr.Black, and I've been busy ever since. Its also been two days since that accident with Jade, and Stephanie has been taking care of her. When the doctor came he told them she had a concussion from the impact and at the very least, should wake up in a couple of days. He also told me that there was oil on her hand and that it was mixed in with water, which was why she fell.

I decided to get out of my office for some fresh air. When I opened the door I was met by Stephanie. She didn't look too happy to see me but that didn't bother me. "You are hiding something aren't you?" She said with a straight tone. "What are you talking about?

"I'm saying that you know more to Jade's incident then what you are letting us know." She crossed her hands. "I'm not hiding anything, why are you so worried about her, you just met her." I was starting to get annoyed with this. "I have my reasons." she looked away from me. "You should visit her you are the only one that has not seen her, Tigre even went and visited her."

"I have better things to do than visit her." I walked pass her and went to the patio. When I got there I could feel the cool breeze from the night air. Why is she so worried about a random brat. "I'll just see how she is doing." Before leaving I spotted a box of cigarettes on the edge. I went and opened it and it was a full pack but only one was missing. Really? I throw the box before leaving.

I decided to go back to my office to get some papers to work on while I'm in her room. I went into her room and sat down in the chair that was near the bed.

I've been in the room for almost an hour." What was the point of me even being here it is not like she gonna wake up anytime soon." I sighed. I started to get my stuff together but stopped because there was a noise. I looked around the room. I walked up to Jade seeing if it was her. I leaned over the bed and put my face in front of hers. I was about to move but I was met by dark brown eyes.

Jade POV

When I woke up I was met by a face. "AHHHHH!" I yelled and headbutt the other person. "Shit, what the hell was that for" I couldn't see who it was because I had my hands on my head for the pain that I was feeling. "Why the hell would you put your face near mine when I'm asleep, you perv!"

"Did you forget who I am". The voice seemed familiar. I put my hands down shit it was Vincenzo. "Oh uh sorry I didn't know who it was." I'm not going to get out of here alive. "Oh so you didn't 'know it was me." he got closer. "How should we fix that amore? So that you remember when it is me". He was right in front of me near the bed. He started to reach his hand " Bathroom!" I rushed off the bed but fell from pain.

"Why would you get up so quickly you were asleep for like almost 3 days," he said catching me. That can't be possible I was in the bathroom, it was steamy, I was wearing a towel, and I fell. WAIT! I looked down and there were clothes on me.  I got out of his grip. " Who dressed me?" A smile appeared on his face. "Well me amore". I clenched my hands "di-did you see anything?"

"Well, of course, I had to put clothes on you, but you don't have anything to worry about there is nothing pleasing about you." He chuckled. I just rolled my eyes. " Here is the medicine you are you going to need to take" he gives me a bottle of prescription pills with my name with it. "I'll be leaving now and tomorrow you will be with Chris training." After saying that he just picked up his stuff and left.

"Thanks..." I looked at the bottle and read the instructions, it says to eat before taking. Soo left the room and started to try and make my way to the kitchen. It felt like I was walking for ages, I even walked back to my room somehow. I finally made my way to the kitchen and looked in the refrigerator to find something.

"Jade? Is that you?!" I looked to see who it was, so I don't make the same mistake again. When I turned and looked it was Stephanie. "Oh Hey, Stephanie" I waved at her. "Why are you up you should be in bed?" she came up to me. I showed the bottle and she read it.

"Why didn't you call anyone." She moved me to the chair. " I didn't know if anyone was still awake." I sat down." Jade" she sighed "Let me change your bandage". I looked at her "what bandages?" I looked around my body and didn't see any. "It's on your head".

After she changed my bandages, she started to get me something to eat. "What are you going to make? I asked. "Well since it's been a couple of days since you ate and you were injured I'm going to make something that won't be too hard on you."

The room started to smell of what jade was cooking. "Here you go." She puts down the plate and it was  Cream of Wheat. "Thanks for the good food." I was so excited to eat it. I got a nice amount on the spoon, the steam was dancing as it came off the spoon. The smell was sweet but not too sweet and also savory. I blew on it to cool it down before putting it in my mouth. When I put it in my mouth it was deathly salty.
