I blink rapidly as the blinding sunlight burns my eyes. A yawn escapes me. I force myself to sit up and to drag myself to the toilet. I'm so tired my surrounding is just a blue blur. Sleepily I open the door . I look in the mirror. My eyes showing my tiredness: cloudy, grey and dark. I sigh. "I'm sighing a lot these days," I moan to myself. I turn on the tap and cup my hands under the water, then lifting my hands to my face; I splash a wave of coolness on to it. I reach out to the cream towel hanging next to the sink, wiping my face with it.
I let my legs carry me to my bedroom after brushing my teeth, and then grabbing my uniform I put it on. I look down. My clothes looked lose on me. I liked that style. Quickly, I run a brush through my tangled hair, tying it up tightly. I open the bedroom door again. The corridor outside was covered in a fluffy, sapphire blue carpet, (like my bedroom) to match the, dark wooden walls and staircase. My feet sink into the soft carpet, tickling my bare feet. I smile and feel excited. Today I get to make a big dinner, ready by the time everyone gets home! Hopefully...you probably think Ii'm crazy for wanting to cook so much but who can blame me? It's food. I leap down the stairs, full of energy from the refreshing splash of water and the exciting thought.
As I reach the kitchen/dinner at the bottom of the stairs, I see the plate I left on the table: empty but a few crumbs. "No wonder it feels quite around here," I say, to myself. I guess Rose (my annoying twin sister) has gone to a meeting for a music show or something. Dad's not around a lot because of work and Blake ~(my cute little brother), well he left me to go on a school trip. Very sad. Grabbing a slice of bread from the fresh loaf I made earlier that morning (before I fell a sleep again). I spread a big blob of strawberry jam on it, before gobbling it down. This proves my love for food...
I put on a fresh pair of socks and worn out, black and white, Nike trainers. I really need to get a new pair, that are just as badly fashionable for my disguise. Lifting my bag, I put it over my head onto my right shoulder. Looking at the watch on my wrist, that I wear as part of my uniform (I know, who does that?), as I walk on to the main road to school, I realise it was getting late.
Really late.
Unless I...I take deep breath and walk ahead until I read our alleyway. (I never knew big houses had alleyways either, but we do...) Turning into it I feel a power surge in my legs. Time to be more serious. I start running. I hope no one sees me...
