First Day In High School

    My hands start to attack the cucumber that lay on the chopping board. The blade, no match for the shivering cold green vegetable, cuts boldly through the cucumber. "Hey Skyler, what happened on your first day in high school?" Blake asked, for the millionth time.

"Huhh, like I've said so many times before, on my fist day in high school,I got excluded!" I say irritated, attacking another vegetable.

"Wow calm down no need to get so angry," Blake watches as I unmercifully cut up an innocent piece of lettuce, "And stop taking it out on the food, what has it done to you?"

I give him a look, raising one of my eyebrows.

He ignores me, "So why did you get excluded again and why didn't you go back?"

"Well since you're not going to give this up, I might as well just tell you,"I say my voice not masking the displeasure of talking on the sensitive topic, "well the students, they were teasing me as usual about how I looked nothing like you and all the rest, then they went on about dad's accident because it was on the news at the time and they didn't know I was dad's daughter obviously, otherwise they wouldn't have been saying anything..."

Blake looked as if I was telling him the most interesting story in the world.

"...if you want me to carry on, don't have that look on your face," Blake frowned and then made a blank face, (everyone in our family had the speciality of pulling a poker face for a long amount of time, and sometimes without realising) "that's better, where was I...yeah so, they were saying how they thought I was the leader, of a gang they heard about wanting to 'get rid' of dad, because I was jealous of his lost daughter and how 'beautiful' she was, although no one had ever seen her before...ironic right, and well that's how I found out about the real gang, with help from our uncle. They were trying to find his 'lost' daughter, me, at the school to scare dad ans get hold of the company, which made me blow up a quarter of the school with some explosives to catch them. They ended up in prison and I ended up excluded, a beautiful ending!" I pretended to wipe tears on my cheeks and sniffed.

Blake laughed, "That is so cool! Too bad you missed out the details...and yeah I know you aren't going to tell me," he was pulling his puppy face.
He's so cute! No don't fall for it! "You little cutie pie," I say pinching his cheek and pouting.

He gives me a glaring look.

I smile.
