A Entertaining Experience

Concrete walls around me are a grey blur. My feet not making much noise as they hit the ground. I take a sharp turn to my right. The wind feels good as it lifts my ponytail and pushes against me. Running past back gardens, I hear dogs barking. Nearly there, I take a few more scary, sharp turns. As I approach the last turn, a blue recycle bin comes speeding towards me, it was on its side, masking quite a racket as it did so. Some kid is probably playing about. It comes closer. I ready myself to jump over it. My heart starts thumping because of the upcoming challenge. I jump.

I was in mid air for a millisecond and felt the impact as I landed hard, but somehow steady. I survived! And didn't fall! I take the turn, nearly crashing into the brick wall. I run the last few yards, annoyed at the bin for wasting my time and nearly ruining my uniform! Before my foot touched the pavement of the main road, I steadied my breathing pace and tidied  my uniform. Other students were walking along the same road. At least I wasn't seen. Well I don't think I was...let's hope not...
