Demons. "Fictional" creatures with a malicious intent. They come in all types of shapes, size and colours. The one thing to note about demons is they are supernatural creatures. Malovent and terrifying, demons will find ways to torment the living. Demons don't just torment the race of humans. They torment all living matter. Plants willow at their presence. Animals flee at first sight.
However, demons have fears too. Take the shape shifting demon, hellbound. He takes the form of animals and attempts to bewilder the real ones. Despite this, his plans are foiled by our current protagonists and for this reason, he has come to have both anger and fear at them.
The forest was engulfed with a thick layer of ensnaring fog. It crept through the leaves and the branches. The bitter cold shivered the bones of passers-by. The slow, silvery weather slithered among the miniature ravines in the surfaces of rocks. Shining with condensation, the sharp rocks looked like a curved dagger glinting in the rare intrusion of starlight (the star they orbit isn't the sun).
Walking through the unsettling scene, Goldmoon suddenly became aware of a presence. He paused. Surveying, the wolf noticed 2 pairs of glowing, purple eyes. He headed towards the thorny, brown and blooming bush but the indistinct figure had disappeared when he got there to examine. No evidence of the creature was left.
Throughout the journey, Goldmoon felt as though he was being watched by the same presence. With this, his paw burst into flames as he prepared to fight. What emerged from behind him had given him a surprise. Floating purple orbs. The orbs then began to take the form of small, human-like figures. They were wisps. Small spirits. These were not remenants of the dead but instead, they were the fragments of uncasted magic that can no longer be used. For this reason, the magic becomes an entity and is free to roam through dimensions, only seen by magical beings.
The wisps flew around, clearly overjoyed to be noticed by the young alpha wolf. They made tiny screeches of excitement before fading and likely reappearing elsewhere. They faded with reason as an 8 foot creature lunged at the wolf. It was completely black, except for its claws, teeth and eyes, which were white and much larger than what a human would consider usual. Now this was a demon. A paralysis demon to be precise. They are, like wisps, invisible to humans. They will attack by holding the victim still. Eventually, the victim suffocates. But why is one here? The last sightings were recorded after the appearance of a demon master named ticktock, time demon.
Confused by the sudden appearance of the creature, gold drew a magical sword forged from flames. The demon leaped toward the wolf with rapid speed. Goldmoon was stuck under the claws of the dark creature, slightly scared. A jolt of lightning. A snap. A pink mist. The demon was dead, two holes circled with venom on its neck which was broken. Gold on the other hand was fine and, having seen the bite marks before, he identified the demons attacker as a threehead void mechwing.
Gold had returned home, eager to tell his friends about all the events and determined to escape the forest.
