Two rocks. They were both concave, creating an ark. More precisely, a portal arch. The best areas for magical beings to create an interdimensional portal. The granite composing the rock was solid and black with a very smooth or polished feel. The snow seemed to circle the arch, avoiding the igneous stone structure. Trees, ferns, shrubs: they created a perfect circle  around it.

Rosewolf had chanted something. The portal opened. A gateway to places beyond the solar system. Beyond this universe.

The cosmos were incredible. A mix of black, blue and red. A place of hidden dangers made up for by its celestial beauties. Wonder by wonder, the multiverse exposed its secrets to the four.

After an hour, they reached their destination. A small planet with a blue surface. The warp ended and the wolves stood on the greenery of a new world. "We're back on voids edge" remarked Rosewolf. "Back on the beta islands".

The plants were a spring green. The grass was fresh and the light from the star reflected off of each individual blade. Wolves, cats, even dragons, must have been meandering around prior to the arrival of the four. they stood there, staring.

Then one cheered. Then another. The entire crowd cheered at the presence of the alpha and his allies.

the wolves headed for what appeared to be be a village. The homes were trees, hollowed out at the bottom. These led to a room underground. The stores were tables with branches to support a sheet of wood for the roof. The stores sold a variety of objects from food items to potions.

At the foot of a large tree, the wolves found a ladder. They climbed it and ended up on a platform, high above the village. The mountains, grey and white, were wonderful as they stood over a forest. The forest of curiosities.

In that forest were many creatures that were considered unusual, even for a group of talking and magical wolves. The further in you headed, the more twisted they get. And for this reason, not many have dared to go further than what they know.

In the other direction was tundra town. An icy land. Home to both shardlight and winter loving residents. The structures there were mainly igloos with very few exceptions. This area here is also inhabited by some creatures although not nearly as strange as the forest of curiosities.

As light began to fade, the citizens of voids edge headed back to their homes.

"Night, voids edge" whispered Goldmoon.
