CHAPTER 3

Wang Yibo POV

I heard some loud sounds coming from training court during my walk going to library in hoping I can find an interesting books for improving my defensive magic but that was forgotten a long while ago now when I saw the person who's training very hard inside the traning court.

I entered the training court to find the guy I wanted to beat at the battle contest in the future, so as I was very lucky today to see him here, why don't we have some fun? I quickly cast my newly trained magic on him maybe trying it with him was a good idea to see how will he react from it and as a usual thing he reacted so fast and cast his own magic to make my attack bounce back at me.

Oh he's beyond good the way he reacted and casted his magic was new to my eyes not only that, he also has a very short of time casting a spell. I said to myself as analyzing his moves.

I quicky cancelled my magic and started walking straight up to him, "Oh well, as expected from the Champion of the Wemnonia Academy of Magic. You're surely impressive to watch training", I said to him and waiting for his reply but I get nothing, not even a single word.

As I was standing in front of him, I saw his face that he still on guard, is he thinking I will attack him in the middle of talking? So i begin to speak again.

"Why do you have that look in your face? Hahaha you can calm down now, that's just my way of greeting you. You're Xiao Zhan Right?" I said to him, hopefully now I will get a reply from him but instead a reply he just gave a death glare.

"HAHAHAHAHA is he trying to scared me by that glare? Because I swear I don't find it scary". I thought to myself, trying hard to not laugh at him, but to no avail I still voiced out my thought and said to him "Don't give me that glare it's not scary at all I swear Hahahaha... it's like you're acting cute for me Hahahaha, by the way I'm new student here my name is Wang Yibo", after I said those words, he just ignored me and begin to walk leaving me here, but I am already made my decision and I will not let this chance to slip away.

I attacked him continuously to make him stop walking and talk to me and I won, he finally speak... "What's your problem? Why do you keep attacking me? Can't you see I'm busy on my training?" Asking me with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

So I decided to ask him to let me have a duel with him. "Then let's have duel right now? It's perfect, we're here in the training court magic are allowed here, come on fight me don't be coward and fight me! If you won I'll stop annoying you but if I won you have to help me clean my dorm", stated this to him made him think twice before he agreed with me.

"Fine! That's the deal don't regret anything whatever the outcome is and are you really sure about this?" He replies, and asking me like that made me more eager to beat him someday. But I decided to just reply with a simple "Yeah, sure I hope you don't hold back with me" saying this to him makes me smirk at myself.

3RD PERSON POV

They begin to position themselves in the training court and without even a warning Yibo already start leaving some traps around the court Xiao Zhan saw this but after the traps has been placed, it becomes invisible to him. Xiao Zhan didn't let Wang Yibo to continue what he's doing so he immediately cast his spell and many made of water swords began visible dashing straight to his target, Wang Yibo saw this so as a quick reflex he rapidly avoid some of it and tried to counter it by his sword made of fire.

Xiao Zhan was not just targeting Wang Yibo but also the traps that were been placed by him. He purposely using this skill to wipe off the traps and to distract Wang Yibo from seeing it. The training court was now surrounded by thick smoke because of the steam that being produced by the touch of water swords with the fire sword of Wang Yibo.

Wang Yibo take this chance to attack Xiao Zhan's back using his fire sword but before it touches him, Xiao Zhan luckily avoided it and quickly take a distance from Wang Yibo. To avoid that to happen again Xiao Zhan used an air magic to make the smoke disappear, making him clearly saw a figure standing in a distance.

"Don't underestimate me bunny I almost got you", Wang Yibo stated with a chuckle.

"Hmmmm don't feel too proud of that, you know I'm still holding back to give you a chance of winning and by the way I must ask you this why are you not using some advance magic? I know that you have that in your sleeve no need to hide it from me". Replied by Xiao Zhan with sassy tone.

"Let me have some fun first I don't want to end it quickly and since you've asked me I shall ask you too a question", Wang Yibo start.
"Go ahead just ask", Xiao Zhan replied. "Can I get your number?" He said while giving Xiao Zhan a wink.

Xiao Zhan was taken a back from Wang Yibo's question and action so he began to attack him again to avoid seeing by him having a blush on his face. Wang Yibo gladly defends himself from those attacks then he cast a spell that let his physical attacks becomes powerful also his body was now surrounded by blue flames that looks very dangerous.

Xiao Zhan saw all of this and he knows that doing this also grants the user an extremely fast movements and taking one blow from it is not even a choice for him so he decided that the time has come to finish this. He saw Wang Yibo was now approaching him with overwhelming speed and leaves Xiao Zhan no option but to use one of his destructive magic.

As the fist of Wang Yibo only an inch away with touching Xiao Zhan's skin he suddenly flew somewhere in the training court as he received an extremely blast from Xiao Zhan.

Xiao Zhan saw Wang Yibo laying down on the floor as he's getting worry about him so he runs to him, he saw Yibo's state and how he's having a hard time to stand up and by seeing this, Xiao Zhan felt really guilty with what he did and instantly sit on his knees to heal Yibo's wounds and some broken bones.

Yibo was shocked to see what Xiao Zhan can do with his magic but he is more shocked when he was getting heal by him. He just stares at Xiao Zhan's worried face while healing his broken leg, he doesn't know how long he was staring at Xiao Zhan until the guy in front of him ask him if he's alright and made him try to stand up now.

Xiao Zhan wait for the guy to stand up before apologizing to him. "Ah I... I'm sorry I didn't mean to attacked you like that it's just... I somehow loose some control but I promise I did hold back, I hope you're alright now and by the way you've lost the deal so I hope you'll stop pestering me from now on".

"Sure, I am a man of my word anyways, I guess you are indeed strong and deserve your title but be cautious because I will snatch it from you on the next year's battle contest, you just have to wait for that time". Wang Yibo chuckled.

"I'd love to see you try, ohh I guess we're finished so I will go now" Xiao Zhan said as he was turning his back from Wang Yibo.

"Wait!" Wang Yibo said and immediately grabbed Xiao Zhan's arm when he was about to leave. The guy turned his face on him with a look of what in his face.

"You still didn't answer my question earlier Xiao Zhan", Wang Yibo said.
"What question?" Xiao Zhan replied not remembering anything.
"Your number?" Wang Yibo said with a smirk on his face.

Xiao Zhan didn't bother to reply in Wang Yibo's question and quickly walks straight to the exit door leaving a man with a very wide smile on his face.
