Chapter 5

3RD PERSON POV

Inside Xiao Zhan's Dorm

As soon as the run rises, Xiao Zhan immediately prepared what he needs for the contest and exercise his body a bit. He was all aware to his own weakness and that is having forced to close combat by gis enemy but it doesn't mean he will let this reason for not winning the contest. All of his thought was surrounded by what are the things he should do before, during and after the battle contest. When suddenly he heard someone calling his name."Zhan-ge? Are you still there?", Wen Ning shouts knocking on his door.

"Wait give me 2 minutes", Xiao Zhan shouted and continue to fix his outfit for today's battle contest.

"Woah woah...you look good in that outfit Zhan-ge, you're too beautiful", Wen Ning quickly praised the guy who opens the door.

"Aissh stop it Wen Ning!! I'm not that beautiful!" Xiao Zhan argued sending glare to Wen Ning.

"Alright, alright no need to get angry Zhan-ge anyways are you done? Cause we need to get there by exactly 9:00 AM and it's already 8:15", Wen Ning asked as he walk inside the dorm of Xiao Zhan.

"Uh...yeah I'm done, let's go", Xiao Zhan said while thinking if he forgot something.

Both of them headed straight to Wen Ning's car and drove to the arena where the first stage of the contest were going to happen. They got there at 8:47 AM, thinking it's the time to separate their ways, they bid there goodbyes and good luck to each other and prepared themselves to take the contest.

In the Arena

"Good Morning ladies and gentleman!! Welcome to this year's Magic Battle Contest. I know all of you came here to watch this magnificent battle contest but before that I would like to explain the rules and regulations of this event to avoid any unnecessary circumstances. For the very First Stage of this battle contest the participants were just going to face different kinds of monsters that they needed to kill to accumulate points. Killing a more challenging monster means having a higher points than killing the easiest monster. The participants we're not allowed to form a group and must deal with the monsters individually. They also prohibited to use their unique attribute for this stage of contest but no need to worry they can use whatever combo magic they have in their pockets. The participants who will violate the rules will be eliminated right away from the contest and the top 12 students only who earned the most of the points are allowed to proceed to the next stage of the contest. That's all for the rules and regulations. The total of the participants for this stage is 30. Now, I shall start to introduce them." The host explained thoroughly as he stopped talking hearing the crowd's screams and cheers.

"Alright calm down a bit guys I will now proceed to introduce them one by one". The host said trying to control the crowd.

"First, The Unpredictable, Mr. Chris Elliot, next one The Unmatched, Mr. Clyde Sfyx...", host started to introduce them continuously.

After hearing the host's explanation and began introducing the students, Xiao Zhan was now more nervous because his name will be called later and once again will be exposed to everyone's eyes.

Just try to smile warmly to them and give them a wave of hand. Right just like that no need to be embarrassed you're doing great!! Arrghhh inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale... alright I thi- Xiao Zhan's thoughts we're immediately cut off when he heard the loud screams and cheers of the crowds.

"And now the most awaited person of this year's Magic Battle Contest, The Champion of the Wemnoia Academy and The World's Phoenix, Mr. Xiao Zhan" introduced by the host excitedly.

Xiao Zhan was greeted by the enthusiastic cheers of the crowds as soon he steps out of the back stage that makes him more alive than ever. He waves his hand to all of them and gave them a warm smile as he walks slowly to complete the line of the participants.
