Rescue Mission

"Oh shit, cops,cops,cops! Go!" Leon yelled. Everybody jumped into action. I turned to Mia and tossed her my keys. "Get our of here! I'm gonna go with Dom!" I yelled at her. Dom drove up next to me and threw his door open. I hopped in and he sped off before my door was even shut. We drove around the block, and Dom pulled into an empty parking garage. We both threw on jackets and started walking. And cop was coming towards us, so Dom threw his arm around me and we put our heads down. Just as we though we were in the clear, he came to a stop and turned towards us. "Toretto! Stop right there!" Dom grabbed my hand and we took off. We turned down and alley and kept running. There was no way we were gonna outrun a car. Suddenly green flashed in front of my face, and Brian's car had cut is off. "Get in!" He shouted at us. Dom threw me into the backseat as he climbed in the front and Brian took off. He pulled back onto the highway and within seconds we had lost all cops. "You're the last person I would have expected to show up." Dom said. "Yeah, well i thought if I got in your good graces, you might let me keep my car." Brian replied. "You are in my good graces, but you ain't keeping your car." "You drive like you've done this before. What are you, a wheelman?" I asked. "No." "You boost cars?" Dom asked. "No. Never." "You ever done time?" "A couple over overnighters. No big deal." "What about the two years in juice for boostin' cars? Huh. Tucson, right? Yeah, I had Jesse run a profile on you, Brian Earl Spilner. He'll find anything on the web. Anything about anybody. So why bullshit?" Dom asked. Brian just shook his head and decided to change the subject. "So what about you?" He asked Dom. "Two years in Lompoc. I'll die before I go back." Just then a group of crotchrockets surrounded us. "Oh great!" Dom exclaimed. "What?" Brian asked. "It's gonna be a long ass night, that's what" I answered Brian. One of the riders knocked on the drivers window with a gun and told us to follow him. We pulled into the empty parking lot of T & K Food. We got out of the car, and Dom made sure to stand next to me.
"I thought we had an agreement? You stay away, I stay away. Everybody stays happy." "We got lost, Johnny. It wasn't on purpose" I said to him. "Who's we?" He asked me angrily. "Um, my new mechanic" Dom spoke up. "Brian, meet Johnny Tran. The guy in the snakeskin pants is his cousin Lance. So when are you gonna give me a shot at that Honda 2000 of yours?" Dom asked Johnny. "This your ride?" Johnny asked Brian, completely ignoring Dom. "It was, it's his now." He answered nodding to Dom. "No, it's not. I haven't taken delivery." Dom said. "Then it's nobody's car" Johnny said. "Somebody put in the wrench time. What do you think Lance?" "It's an amazing machine" he answered still pointing his gun at us. "Let's go" Johnny said patting Dom on the shoulder. "I'll see you in the desert next month. Be ready to have your ass handed to you." "You're gonna need more than the crotch rocket" I told him. He looked up at me "I got somethin' for you" he said putting on his helmet. He drove off with with his goons following behind him. "What the hell was that about?" Brian asked angrily. "Long story, I'll tell you later. Let's get out of here." Dom said getting in the car. I opened my door as Johnny drive back. They all lifted their guns and fired on the car. Brian quickly grabbed me and pulled me back. As fast as they had come, they were gone again. "NOS!" Dom screamed. Brian grabbed me again and we ran as the car exploded. Dom jogged over to us. "You two alright?" "Yeah were good" I answered. "So what the hell was that all about?" Brian asked as we started walking towards home. "It's a long story." "Well, we got a 20-mile hike. Humor me." Brian said. "A business deal that went sour. Plus, Nina made the mistake of sleeping with him." Dom said. Brian's head shot over to me. "Yeah I know. Not my best moment" I said. We all laughed as we continued walking home.
