"Dominic Toretto. You are hereby sentenced to serve 25 years to life at the Lompoc Maximum Security Prison system without the possibility of early parole."

I shifted gears coming up to the left of the prison transfer bus. To my right Mia and Brian competed our trio. Mia moved to the right side of the bus, disappearing from vision. I sped up in Dom's 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, matching Mia's speed from the opposite side. She pulled in front of me, moving to the left lane as I remained directly in front of the bus, Brian staying behind. She turned around speeding passed me straight for the bus. She swerved just enough to panic the driver, as he moved into the left lane, then quickly back into mine. I slammed onto the brakes, bracing myself and the bus slammed into the rear of my car. The bus flipped, before hitting the ground rolling many times before coming to a complete stop. Brian sped in front of Mia and I coming to a stop next to the bus. He pulled his gun out and disappeared from sight. A few moments later he reappeared with a bloodied, but otherwise fine Dominic Toretto. He got into the passenger's seat and the three of us vanished as quickly as we have arrived.

I yawned, squinting my eyes as the sunlight shined relentlessly into them. I sat up stretching as much as I could in the back seat of Brian's car. Music was playing softly as we drove through the favelas.

"We should be getting close" Mia said leaning forward in her seat to get a better look. "Pull over here."

Brian pulled towards the right side of the road. parking against the sidewalk. Silently the three of us got out of the car. "This has got to be it, right?" She asked looking at me. I shrugged my shoulders and we started walking. I really hoped it was it, because if not, I truly don't know what we'll do. We turned left welcoming a massive amount of stairs. Brian looked back at us with a questioning gaze. "When in Rome" I joked earning an exasperated laugh. As we walked the three of us took notice of the large amount of people watching us. People with guns. And when we reached the top, the men blocked our path, coming in behind us too. Mia latched on to Brian's arm, while he shielded both of us the best he could.

"Let's get out of here" he said pulling both of us along. Before we could make our escape, a familiar voice bounced through the air.

"Woah, Woah. Easy friends, they're with me." The voice shouted in Spanish.

Vince. A sight for sore eyes. He walked towards us with a smile on his face. "There's my girls" He laughed pulling both of us into a hug, lifting our feet of the ground. He sat us down finally acknowledging Brian. "Buster" he said nodding his head, motioning for us to follow. "Come on" he said leading us up the stairs.

"Dom here yet?" Brian asked. "No".

"When was the last time you heard from him?" I asked. "A couple of weeks ago" Vince answered tucking his gun back into his pants. "Up in Ecuador somewhere." Mia looked back to Brian and I gauging our reactions. "How does it feel?" Vince continued. "What's that?" "To be on the other side of a wanted poster." Vince said turning towards Brian. He turned opening a door, and leading us into his home. "Go ahead and have a seat, I'll get you something to eat. The three of us sat down at the small kitchen table, feeling as though a weight was lifted of our shoulders, even if it was only for one night.

Vince, Brian, and I were sitting at the table, while Mia and Rosa took baby Nico to bed.

"Why Rio, Vince?" Brian asked breaking the comfortable silence.  "You mean after you screwed everything up in LA?" He said sitting his beer down on the table. "Vince" I warned. He shrugged his shoulders, shaking his head back and forth a few times. "I ended up free-falling through South America, you know, hitting every hellhole on the way down. Would have kept going if not for Rosa." He said gesturing towards his wife.

Mia came back and joined us at the table running her hand across Brian's shoulders. Vince shifted in his seat, then spoke up, "So listen, there's a job coming up. I was hoping Dom was going to be here by now" he said looking towards me. "But this one is clean enough we can do it without him. It's a good gig. Couple of high-end cars, easy targets. Guy I know is putting together a team to swipe 'em. Just need a few more willing bodies"

"I don't know." Brian cut in looking towards the two of us, then back to Vince. Vince took a deep breath, "Look, the way the car scene is down here we can unload them quick and get top dollar. It's easy money, and from where I'm sitting,it looks like you all could use a payday." He ended trying to convince. It didn't take much. We all knew what a bad situation we were in, and as much as we (mostly Brian) didn't want to admit it, Vince was right. We needed this job.
