Eddie's POV:
~After school, Thursday~
"Hey, Josh!" I call out running towards Josh
"Oh, hey Eddie." He says turning to me
"Are we still on for tomorrow?" I ask reaching my hands out to grab his
He looks down but then pulls his hands away. "I don't know, are we? Or are you too busy with your other boyfriend.." My eyes widen at the unexpected reply
"W-What do you mean? You're the only boyfriend I have.. Why would I date anyone else when I have you?"
"Don't bullshit me! I saw you and Richie."
"Oh my god, are you serious? He was just helping me out of a bad situation with Henry. Nothing else, I promise babe." I say rubbing one of my arms
He sighs and looks away before putting his hands in mine once again
"Okay, I believe you. I'll pick you up at 7, okay baby?" He says smiling at me
A smile grows on my face as I nod and hug him before leaving to go home.
Richie's POV:
As I was riding home I go past an alleyway and see Josh with Henry. I slow for a second in case he was gonna beat him up or something but I just heard them talking
"So, how's it going with Eddie?" Henry says as I peek my head around a corner
"Perfect, I'm going out with him tonight." Josh says Why the fuck does Henry want to know about their relationship?
"Wait, so he buys it? For real?" Henry says starting to laugh. What does he mean?
"Yeah, he has no clue it's all fake even though you nearly fucking blew it.. He's so fucking stupid honestly!" Josh says continuing to laugh, those words made my blood boil inside of me and I was about to run in and beat the shit out of them for fucking with Eddie's feelings
"I mean, does he really think anyone could like him?" Yeah bitch, I love him.
"When or how are you going to end it?" Henry says somehow managing to stop laughing
"Well, I was thinking-"
"Wait. I think I see someone." Henry says stopping Josh from talking
Shit! I think to myself quickly climbing onto my bike and riding away.
"Shit I think it's Richie." I hear someone say
"Fuck, he's gone. How much do you think he heard?" Henry says his voice becoming quieter as I get further away.
I gotta tell Eddie about this. ASAP
Josh's POV:
Crap, if he tells Eddie I'm screwed.
"Henry, I gotta go see Eddie so he doesn't believe him." I say starting to walk away,
"Alright fine, don't blow your cover!" He yells out to me
Eddie's POV: (Sorry there's a lot of POV swaps)
A couple minutes after I got home the doorbell rang so I walked downstairs to see who was at the door. I open it to find Josh standing there.
"Hey Eddie"
"Hey Josh, whats up? Our date isn't for another couple hours." I say walking out and closing the door behind me
"Uh, I got something to tell you." He says rubbing his neck
"Okay, what is it?"
"I.. I think Richie is trying to split us up."
"Pfft, what!" I laugh thinking he's joking but he doesn't start laughing
"W-Wait.. You're serious? Why would you think that?"
"I mean, he always wants to know what's happening with us, he wants to spend time with you and like only you and I think he's saying bad things about me. Plus I don't think he likes me.." Was all of this true? Was Richie trying to break us up?
"Wow, I... I never really thought that Richie would do that but I'll ask or text him about it.."
"Okay Ed's. See you tonight." Josh says before kissing my cheek and walking away
~A couple minutes later~
~Richie's POV:
I walked up to the door and rung the doorbell looking anxious and concerned but at least Eddie could tell.
"Hey Rich, is something wrong?"
"Um... Yeah Ed's, actually there is. So like 20 minutes ago I saw Josh talking to Henry. He was talking about you "Buying the relationship" and I just wanted to tell you that, I think Josh is up to some shit with Henry. Maybe what he said about you guys being a bet is true, b-but I really hope not...! J-Just a warning, but I don't think it's fake. I got away before they could catch me but I think they saw me."
"Wow.." He says looking at me with a shocked expression on his face.
"I-If you want we can go-"
"You know something that's kinda funny Richie? Just a couple minutes ago Josh came saying that he thinks you were trying to break us up. I didn't believe him at first because I didn't think you could stoop down to that level but, trying to spend time with me alone, talking shit about my boyfriend? They all sound like the things Josh was saying about you."
"W-What? E-Ed's I would nev-"
"Don't fucking call me that!" He snapped at me and before I could say anything he started again
"I can't believe you. Why the fuck would you do that? Don't you care about my happiness or anything? Or do you just care about yourself and trying to break people up?" What was even happening in this moment of time, what was Eddie told?
"Ed's of course I-"
"Stop. Fucking. Calling. Me. That. Name." He says tears rolling down his face
"Eddie, of course I care about you, why wouldn't I? You're one of the only things-" I was almost crying now.
"Yeah I'm one of the only things that make you happy? Your life may not be perfect but can you stop being dramatic for once in your life? It can be really annoying at times." Oh. I guess Eddie forgot about my shitty abusive parents, anxiety, suicidal thoughts and depression. Huh, he really doesn't care about me. Probably no one does.
"O-Okay then. I don't know what you've heard about me but I didn't do anything. Whether you choose to believe that is up to you.. I-I guess I'll go." I say slowly turning away
"Maybe I'll even leave this world if that's what you want. I'd do anything for you Ed's." I mumble under my breath.
Eddie's quick POV:
God, why did I say half those things? Was what Josh said true? Or was what Richie said true. I got so mad at him but why can't I call out to him and just say I'm sorry? I was frozen in a moment of contemplation of my life turning upside down in 10 minutes.
