Eddie's POV:
~Friday, 1:00pm (lunch)~
"Hey does anyone know where Richie is?" Ben asks
"No." I say in a monotone voice moving my food side to side
"Whoa, that doesn't sound like the happy Eddie we know. You okay?" Bev replies back
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say trying not to tear up or sound like it
"Are you su-"
"I said I'm fine!" I yell running out of the cafeteria
"Eddie wait!" Mike yells back to me but I had already left
As I was running out of the school I ran past a boy coming into the main building, from what I quickly saw his eyes were red and puffy, he had soft fluffy curls and- wait..
"Richie?" I quietly say moving past him.
"E-Eds?.." I hear him barely whisper. But me being stupid I don't stop running and accidentally bump into Josh
"Ah, sorry Josh!"
"It's okay Eddie, what's wrong? You look like you're gonna cry.."
"I just... I feel like my life is falling apart, my home life isn't the best and it's just getting worse, I had a massive argument with Richie and I don't know why I said half the things I did but other than the losers you're the only good thing in my life." I really just opened up to Josh, and instead of getting a sentimental reply he starts laughing.
"W-What's so funny?"
"I, I'm sorry it's just... ahahaha did you really think I would be your actual boyfriend? You're so god damn stupid! I'm getting paid 500 bucks to be your boyfriend and it was totally worth it! Henry and I have so much shit on you, now that you know uh.. I'm breaking up with you! Faggot."
I... R-Richie was right, and I didn't believe him.. I believed my fake boyfriend... And n-now he probably hates me, for real this time.... Josh was right, I am stupid, stupid for believing him and getting mad at Richie, why would Richie lie about that? I know he's a trashmouth and all but he wouldn't do that..
"Aaaannd perfect! Nice acting Josh!" Suddenly Henry came out from who knows where holding his phone. He fucking recorded the breakup?
"W-What the fuck? Y-You faked it? You faked everything?"
"Absolutely everything. It was a bet all along but holy crap was it hard to stay in character when you kept on whining."
"Why the fuck would you do that?!" I yell at them
"Like I said, I'm getting paid to do this shit."
"Fuck you asshole!" I said punching him in the stomach.
"Oh you're dead faggot." Josh says as they both approach me
I start backing away but Henry grabs the collar of my shirt and pulls me towards him. He punches me in the face making my nose bleed and shoves me against a locker. I was kicked in the nuts but before I could get the chance to grab my inhaler Josh took it and threw it in the trash. I started wheezing as I continued getting beaten up by Henry and someone I thought I could trust, my heart was broken, my boyfriend was fake, my first kiss was wasted for 500 dollars, that's all they thought I was worth. 500 dollars and broken faggot.
"C'mon let's go before we're caught." Henry says running away leaving me in pain and alone
My vision was started to become cloudy and fade as I had fully run out of breath and become unconscious.
Richie's POV:
Why was Eddie running out of the cafeteria? Is he okay?
"Guys is Eddie okay?" I saw walking up to the losers
"I-I don't t-t-think so." Those words themselves broke my already broken heart and soul. It pains me every time Eddie isn't happy, his soft radiating smile gone from his small face with tears streaming down his face hurts me knowing that I can't help him.
"Why? What happened? Is it because of me?" I say stepping closer to them
"I don't know but maybe, when we brought you up he looked like he was going to cry. Did you guys fight or something?" says Stan
"Shit, yeah we did. I'm gonna go see if he's okay. Anyone else wanna come?" I say
"Yeah sure I'll come." Mike says
"M-Me too." Bill says
"I'll come." Ben says
"You know what screw it why doesn't everyone go?" Bev says standing up from her seat
"Okay then, let's go." I say giving a hand motion for everyone to come
We all walked out of the cafeteria and almost ten seconds after we were walking the halls of the school, I saw a small body lying on the floor blood on his face and body.
"EDDIE! Holy fuck! Ed's!" I scream immediately running towards the limp body and kneeling down
"Ed's! Ed's wake up! Come on, please! I can't lose you too! Please Eddie! Why?! I need you!"
"We need to get him to a hospital NOW! He could be dying!" Bev calls out starting to pick him up and I follow while Stan calls 911 (A/N: I'm Australian so we use 000 for emergency services like police but they're in America so yeh :3)
Why the fuck did this need to happen? Why to Eddie? Why him? It could've been me, it SHOULD'VE been me but no. It had to happen to him, the small precious boy I know and love now a limp and bloody mess none of us being able to help him or speak to him without knowing how much pain he's in if he's in any pain at all.
