Chapter 10: Wolf Friends

Rachel:

You know how parent sometimes tell you to share stuff with them and not lie to them, let me just tell you it's a trap. Your honesty comes at the price of your freedom.

I didn't want Jess to pick me up and I have to tell my parents that I'm going out tonight to the Pack's beach. Justin thought it was a bad idea and instead I should just ride his wolf to the pack.

It's not like I haven't rode his wolf before, I have many times back in Florida. I love his wolf more than I love him ,honestly. His wolf treats me gently and his fur is very soft, he likes to nuzzle.Sometimes when I was sad we would go in the backyard and we would sit in the sun and I would fall asleep cuddling into him.

To say my Dad freaked out was an understatement, I have never brought up or talked about any boy before in front of my parents. And all these years my Parents bugged me to go out , get to know people and have some fun. Now that I'm finally doing it, he has issues with it. Can you believe it ? Like I want to scream so loud right now.

"Dad ! I don't get it ? What is the problem? I'm just going to the beach in the pack territory with a boy from the pack , where there will be other people of the pack. It's not even a date ,yet !"I shouted.

"Don't you raise your voice on me" he fired back

" YOU ARE BEING UNREASONABLE" I told him and it's true. I don't like to be that girl who fights with her parents over a stupid boy who I know will find his mate soon but the fact that he's refusing without any reason is annoying me. I love my freedom and no one get's to take that away on whim.

" Listen honey, If you want to go the pack, I'll take you. If you want to go the beach you can go to the one on the other side of the town with your human friends." he said calmly, too calmly. I know what this means, he's trying to calm his wolf down.

"Is that what it's about? That he's a wolf ! Dad, All my life you told me about wolves, I thought I was one too, I live with two wolves. I'm not scared of them , I can beat them even you know that, I have the Alpha blood in me even if I'm a human ! And I don't have any human friends!" I told him , I felt too much rage roaring inside my body.

" Rach, I don't want you to have wolf friend's or let's just say boyfriend. He'll get a mate you know, i don't want to see you hurt again." he said sadly.

"Like I don't know that, and he's not my boyfriend, not yet anyway. You don't get to decide these things dad, this is my world as much as it is yours even if a mere human. And I'm going out whether you like it or not" I told him and stormed off to my room, I knew if I stayed anymore I'll end up crying. You know those times when you are too angry but you cannot do anything about that anger so you end up in tears, yeah that happens often with me.

I decided to just lay in my bed and sulk until I heard someone knock, I knew it was Justin as I could smell him behind the door. These little traits are what made my father and me believe that maybe I was a wolf too. I can remember smells distinctively.

After third knock and no response from me , he decide to just come in.

"Rach, I know you are upset with Dad, but you have to understand he's worried" he said. I just glared at him.

"I just came to tell you, I talked to Dad and he won't say anything if I'll accompany you to the pack and I know it's unfair but I won't bother you , okay. So stop sulking and do your shit and get ready." he said and left.

Despite that I sulked for half hour more and then read few chapters of my book.

At 4:00pm , I decided to go take a long bath and get ready. I dressed mildly nothing too extravagant , just shorts and hoody. I left my hair down and put little make up.

Falon as usual was on time, I rushed to the door and didn't bother saying bye. Justin followed."He's going to accompany us to the beach and that's it. Don't ask me anything." I told him and went to his car.
