Chpt.8

Yazmin's POV:
It's 6th period, last class of the day. Thank god. Today went by really slow. My two friends Cassidy and Carly were both sick so I was basically alone.
I like to keep to myself in school. I'm very introverted and it's hard to make friends. I think I use social media as an escape to be my real self.
I just hit 600k on tiktok day. A lot of people congratulated me when they found out. A few freshman asked me for a picture with them. I of course said yes. They were actually really sweet. I think their names were Sophia and Lucas.
6th period is English which isn't that bad because I kind of like this subject.
Our teacher Mr.Harris was talking about a test that's coming up soon so I began writing notes and points he was saying.
There was about ten minutes left of class when someone kept tapping me. I tried to ignore it at first so I could get some work done but I finally gave in and turned around.
When I turned around it was some random guy I don't remember ever being in this class. "Um what's up?" I tried to say as nicely as possible. "Hey, my names Dante." He sounded kind of nervous. "I'm Yazmin. What's up?" I greeted him. "Um I'm pretty sure you know my friend. His names Mariano." "Yeah, why?" I ask. "Um nothing, he just- he just talks about you a lot" Dante stuttered. "Wait, what do you mean he talks about me a lot?" I asked. "Um nothing ask him about it. He'd kill me if I told you." He responded.
I was quite intrigued to see what Mar has been saying about me to his friends considering we have only know each other for about 2 days and have only briefly met. And we barely even spoke. Sammy done all the talking that day.

I got home about 1 hour ago from school. What Dante said kept replaying in my head. He just talks about you a lot. What does that mean? Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Why am I so hung up about a boy I just met so recently?
