Chapter 16 - future choises

Natsus pov
Me and Lucy are in art class and I'm casually drawing sting half beaten and half healthy the beaten side is him with scars and cuts on his face which will be painted in pure depth and the other side will just be in pencil. It wasn't long until I noticed Lucy looking at my book and she knows I'm not ready to show my work yet and as I look at her with a smirk and smiles and I generally poke my finger on her nose making her giggle.
Until the lesson ends my teacher calls me to stay for an extra few minutes and to be honest I'm quite scared.

'Hello natsu I couldn't hell but see you beautiful art of your brother. Tell me your not in an abusive family are you?'

'Oh god no mr reedus. Not that at all. My father was just an old fashioned black man but he always kept us save. He was harsh to sting yes but he loved him. After he passed away it took a massive affect on everyone'

'Yes I did hear about that natsu I hope your family are okay. What I wanted to really tell you was that there is an opening at the art school in Japan it's very famous and I gave in your last portfolio and they are really impressed with your work and when you graduate, they want you' my heart stopped my smile grew I couldn't believe this was happening the art school that I've dreamed of going wants me. I turn around and see Lucy waiting by the door and my smile fades.

'Gee mr reedus, that's a great opportunity I mean it's my dream but I can't do it. Lucy needs me and the babies need me I know it sounds selfish but I wish I didn't sleep around but I'm glad because maybe one of the kids could have the opportunity I had and I'll raise them to have a bright future' I looked at my teacher and he chuckled tapping my shoulder.

'I am proud of you mr dragneel. And your family would be proud too but the offer is still there and it isn't going anywhere' he said and I nodded leaving to classroom for lunch with my beautiful girlfriend.

As we were eating Lucy was just staring at me looking concerned 'natsu?'

'Yeah'

'What was the meeting about?'

'Oh it was about the art school in japan they want me to go and check it out and stuff. They said my portfolio was amazing and want me'

'Oh' she sadly spoke and I just looked at her and she had both her hands layered on top of each other and I reached my hand to touch them.

'I said no. I have you and the babies they need both of us. There's no way o could let you do it on your own Id rather save for their futures than pay for mine and I'd save for yours too after you have the babies I want you to have a life again and be able to enjoy your twenties'

'Baby, your so cute but our future is these babies now obviously we'd go out and have fun but our responsibilities come first. In a way I feel really bad about this because I've taken your future away'

'Lucy, it takes two to do what we did and I'm happy we did I'm glad the family I will have is you and these babies and I cannot wait to see them and hold them and draw them and teach them everything I know' I walked over to Lucy who was getting emotional and kissed her passionately and gave her a warming hug because I love her so much and will treat her like a queen.

In the basement I'm playing my music in the art room quite loud since I'm allowed to be at home right now for a few weeks I am taking my time to reverse my music but sadly I get distracted to my crazy older red headed brother bursting through the room. 'Do you bloody well mind your music is deafening my ears' I rolled my eyes at his comment and he just hugged 'whT you working on anyway?' He asked sitting down on dads chair and I just shrugged

'Some heavy metal tune. Do you like it?'

'No not really it's too much. Try slowing it down'

'Then it will sound mushy' I moaned and cobra shrugged.
