Chapter 19 - The Scholarship

this chapter is going to be very dark and very emotional by the way just giving you a heads up 

Natsu's pov every

today was the day that it was the ceremony and everyone is extremely nervous especially wendy because it's her first proper show. Mama couldn't make it because someone had to look after the babies and she basically forced me and Lucy to go. and as new parents we miss them dearly. they are beautiful though. all the art students are sitting at the front. mine and lucy's year were on the left side of the hall and the year ended with rogues year who was on the right side of the hall. me and rogue were both on the ends and I leaned over to see how he was and he just looked at me with a nervous face and I just took a deep breath. Laxus, mira, Lennie, Cobra, Kinanna, Kyra and Gajeel and Levy were sitting in the middle near the back of the hall since that's where guests go. "ladies and gentlemen, I am so glad you are able to make it to the arts ceremony. these students are so creative and every single one of them deserve the scholarship but out of these three years, only one of them have achieved it. as you can see on this stage, on this bored are the visual arts classes, just look at how detailed they all are. for the entire year the textiles team and the fine arts team have been given the project to complete their sketchooks, blackboards, fabrics etc with their choice out of the hat and the stuff they came up with was amazing. some got family, some got nature some even got bizarre choices like food and some got the bible and much more unique choices. but before we take a further look into all the visual arts on this stage, we have a few performances in honour of these students. starting off with the seventh grade dancers" the head teacher spoke and everyone cheered knowing that wendy was about to dance her heart out. 

Mina's pov

as I was cooking dinner before the children come back from the school I felt a sharp pain in my chest and it hurt me deeply. i tried to fight the pain from the past five months but I refuse to let it take over me. 

it wasn't long before I started coughing heavily and painfully until I noticed blood on  my hands. i refuse to believe it was there and as I washed my hands then continued to cook again. 

Natsu's pov 

everyone of us cheered as Wendy's dance class finished their performance and the headteacher came out again clapping his hands. "wow wasn't that amazing!?" he cheered making everyone else cheer. "can you believe the young seventh grader, Wendy Marvell helped choreograph that dance. super talented just like all her brothers who have currently taken the arts and who have used to take the arts in this school who i see within this audience" cobra, laxus and Gajeel cheered loud which made me stng and rogue laugh in the audience and even the headmaster. 

"now, we have the drama club performing shakespear from the nineth grade performing arts club" everyone cheered Knowing that sting is going to go up and we all clapped with joy. Lucy was extremely exited due to this being her favourite play. 

Nina's pov 

after i set the table the pain entered my body again and all i could do was pray to take the pain away from my soul but it wouldn't leave and i started coughing again. "not yet, lord, not yet. can't ya see there are babies upstairs" i prayed and that's when the babies started to cry and i painfully walked up the stairs. "I'm coming children, I'm coming" i weakly spoke slowly walking up the stairs as their cries got louder. 

Natsu's pov 

all the art work came out on the stage now and Mr Makarov and Mr reedus came onto the stage. clapping after the Shakespeare performance. "spectacular performance. it must have been difficult to perform since you also directed huh sting?" Mr makarov said and he chuckled nodding. "an amazing performance, you should be proud of yourself" he added and everyone cheered again.
