I wake up to Ben telling me Alpha Alexander sent a message via phone. 'Hello little Alpha. Just checking in to remind you that I will be taking my fiancee back. By force if I have to. I don't want to have to. But I'm ok with having too. Not my choice to sacrifice my pack for some girl who doesn't matter to you. Your pack will suffer because desided that some girls life was more important then the lives of your entire pack. See you on saterday' didnt even have the decentcy to call me himself. He left me a voice mail. Ether way he didnt scare me. I deleted the voice mail and dialed Alpha Johns number.

After a few rings I hear a scruffy voice. "Hello?"
"Hi. Is this Alpha John?" I asked still grogy myself.
"Speaking. What can I help you with?" Alpha John responded.
"You sent one of you girls.. Amber i believe was her name." I responded looking at Ben with a smile.
"Yes and?" Alpha John snapped back getting irritated.
"She told me you were on the brink of war? Are you still there or did you settle that?" I asked trying not to anger him more.
"No we sorted that out thanks. Is that all? Who are you anyway?" He asked 'calimg down' kinda.
"My name is Alpha Skye and I actually need your help. You see my Beta. Well his mate is from a pack 2 territories over. They banished her for not wanting to marry the Alpha. Now they are back and wanting her back but she wants to stay with her mate, which is understandable so I stood by her in that decision. Unfortunately he has decided that was an act of war. What do I do?" I asked pleadingly.

"Real mess you got your self into girl. Lucky for you Alpha Alexander was actually a friend of my father's. I'll call him and let him know how I stand on this. By the way I don't know if I said this before but I'm sorry to hear about your father. He was a friend of mine. I also want to apologise for not making myself known at his funeral. I didn't want to intimidate you being a fellow Alpha and all." he spoke flatly but I could tell he mentioned his apology.
"And how exactly do you stand on this?" I asked inquisitively.
"That you are right. No person should ever have to chose between their mate and their pack, it's not right." he spoke sadly. almost as if he has gone down this path before and lost. I dare not ask about it as not to upset him and make this whole thing that much worse. but I do appreciate him being honest about my father. That made me feel a bit better about John being on my side. Not that I think this was a bad idea, mostly worried that I would be alone in this or that he wouldn't agree with me in my stand point. I just hope im doing the right thing. "Is there anything else Alpha or can I go try to help not start a war?" he asked trying not to chuckle but i heard the stuffled laugh and it made me laugh.

"no no. sorry you can go. im sorry for holding you up I got lost in my thoughts" I giggled. "have a good one Alpha John. and thank you."
"you too Skye. and don't stress. Alex is pretty easy going most days." he chuckled before hanging up. I put the phone back on the receiver and headed for the kitchen for food and coffee. Although I don't think I'll be eating. With all this drama AND trying to figure out if I have to postpone the wedding or not, has made me not hungry. I put my cup down onto the table before dropping down into my chair. Right onto Bens lap. I was so tired from not sleeping that I didn't even notice he was there.

"That's ok. I didn't want kids anyway." Ben chuckled as I was about to get up off of him. "I'm only kidding babe. gosh" we both chuckled a little before eating. I was just forcing it down at this point. There was nothing I could do now but to wait and I suck at waiting. After breakfast, I went upstairs got dressed, and headed for my office to see if i had any calls from John. Nope. Sh*t. ok. now what? I gotta get my mind of this so I don't do something stupid like call him and see what's up. Just then Jackie walks in and proceeds to tell me how sorry she is for starting all this mess.

"Don't apologise for wanting more then a old man with money hun. This is all on Alex. Not you. As we speak John is trying to talk some sense into that loon. though I don't know if he's gonna be able to do it. Alex seems pretty set on getting you back." I told her about the voice mail from Alex and she almost cried. "Hey! what did I just say? This is not your fault so stop." I gently barked hugging her. "now go snuggle Jason and remember why youre still here." I smiled as she left and the got so tired I almost passed out in my chair.

A loud ringing of the phone jolted me up and I scrambled to awnser it. "Yes? Hello?" I spoke into the phone.
"Skye." John slowly spoke as if....
"what happend?" I spoke sadly as if I already knew what was going on.
"Alex he..Hes gone. He has lost his mind. Hes determand to get Jackie back. I have no idea why. I've never seen anyone so obsessed like this. this isnt like Alex at all. He wont listen to me." John's voice broken.
"oh no. what do we do Alpha John?" I was worried. I knew one of two things would happen next. Ether we prepare for battle or we find away to negotiate. By the looks of it negotiaions are out.
"We have no choice. He has declared war. We ether hand over jackie by Saturday or we get ready for a very brutal battle. Alex has one of the best armys I have seen in a long time. But with our combined strangth we might just do it." John said reassuringly.
"We? So you'll join me? You'll help us?" I asked hopeful.
"Yes. Alex is in the wrong. Not you. He has no right doing this." John responded, again, sounding like hes been through this before. hmm.
"Thank you John. Should I tell anyone about this or keep it a secret till we know a plan?" I asked him just before hanging up.
"No. Say Nothing untill we know for sure that this is a real threat. Business as useual. But keep your boarders protected." he awnsered. "try to have a good day Skye. Relax and take a deep breath. We will figure this out together. For now go plan your wedding. Youre supposed to be happy right now." I could feel his smile throught the phone.
"How did you know about that?" I asked smiling myself, already knowing the awnser.
"Im your fathers oldest friend. Its my job to know how your doing." He laughed. I laughesd with him, wishing I had known about him sooner.

I wonder why my parents never told me about John. Oh well doesnt really matter. What matters is he is here now and helping me.
"Right, well I should let you go and thank you again John" as I said Ben walked in quitely to check on me, as I had been on the phone for what felt like hours.
"Of course Skye. Thank you for opening my eyes to the monster I used to call friend." he chuckled. "I'll call you later this week when I've come up with a plan of attack."
"sounds good. Thanks. see you later. bye." I spoke as I hung up the phone.

"Whats the word nerd?" asked Ben as he came over to the desk handing me a coffee.
"Bird" I responded chuckling as I took a sip of my coffee.
"Ha Ha Ha" Ben mocked. "seriously. everything ok?"
"Mum. Cant say much but lets just say Alex didnt listen to reason. But don't say anything. we dont need a panic." I said pleadingly.
"Mum eh? ok fair enough. Mum it is." Ben agreed.

These next few days are gonna be interesting to say the lest. Hopefully John and I can come up with a plan to protect both of our packs and push back Alex's. Here's hopeing anyway.
