Chapter 07: Darkness and Light Test Kind Of

Aqua's POV

I gasped, seeing two versions of the human version of me in white light in front of the light shrine and dark covered version of my human form was in front of the darkness shrine wearing an evil smirk, hand on her hip while the light form smiled gently.

"W-what kind of test is this?" I was confused; this never happened before...has it?

"You mustn't look so surprised, Aqua, we appear forming the person's innermost light and darkness."

"Yeah, yeah. Light, darkness who gives a crap?!" The dark Aqua stepped in clearly annoyed, but the light Aqua wasn't very pleased with her attitude.

"Darkness! We must give her our test, so stop being rude." She was scolding dark Aqua who rolled her eyes.

"Whatever, Light...the test is simple, don't lose."

"Darkness!"

Darkness shrugged, "Lighten up, Light."

I sweatdropped, watching Light and Darkness argue until I stepped forward annoyed with this.

"Shut it!" It went silent after I yelled at them to be quiet. "I don't have time for this... Eggman might be coming any second now. Please just give me a hint of what I have to do to complete your tests."

They looked at each other then back at me smiling. I blink.

"When the time comes, you will complete our test, Aqua..."

"What she said... Just don't die because who else is worthy enough to use our powers? Not some shaped Eggass, that's for sure." Darkness snickered.

"Darkness! Eggman was created like that! So stop making jokes about him!" Light huffed annoyed.

"Then why was he created then? He must have got created so I can joke about his shape Eggass."

Light slapped her hand to her face groaning while Darkness was laughing, hands on her hips.

"Uh..." I was so confused. They talked about Eggman like they know him and Darkness was just cracking up jokes about him like it was normal.

Light looked at me realizing something, "That reminds me! There is a minor thing you must remember in using our powers, Aqua."

"Yeah, not a good idea to keep using our powers more than once you could die." Darkness said without caring.

"Darkness! How many times do I have to tell you; Stop being an insensitive jerk?! Sorry, Aqua... But what Darkness says is true. Just stay positive and you will win."

Darkness scuffed, arms crossed making Light glare at her, and then just like that they turned into the light and darkness orb and flew around me into the bracelet where they belonged.

"Ms. Aqua, are you okay?" I blinked and turned around to see Garnet, Cream, and Cheese fly over my head to then land on my head.

"Chao?"

I was confused; didn't they see and hear everything? "D-did you all see and hear anything?"

Cream and Garnet looked at each other confused and then back at me. "We didn't see or hear anything, sug; you were just standing there like a statue when you stepped forward."

I was surprised, but I told them everything Darkness and Light told me.

"So let us get this right, sug... Those Darkness and Light orbs in that bracelet of yours warned ya about using their powers more than once you'll die?" Garnet said trying to understand it all.
