Jazz barged into her house yelling Christina's name hysterically. Christina quickly came running to her wife.

"Baby we have to leave. Pack your shit. Let's go!" Jazz ordered. Christina stood there her eyes bloodshot red and hair in a messy ponytail she eyed her wife and gave her the most confused look ever.

"Where the fuck have you been? It's been days since I have seen you or heard from you and you bust in here telling me to pack my shit!?" Christina said with her voice raised with a new tone Jazz didn't even know existed.

"Baby I can explain it all on the road we gotta now though." Jazz said walking past Christina making her way upstairs. Christina stood there with a blank look on her face all the words in her head couldn't make it to her mouth. Christina met her wife in their bedroom, Jazz had laid out two suitcases and was stuffing clothes from the drawers into them.

"Hello?" Christina said with her arms folded still waiting on some answers. "I will explain it in the car Christina damn you just need to come on." Jazz said while zipping up both suitcases and grabbing them making her way past Christina and back downstairs. Christina grabbed her purse off the dresser and followed behind Jazz slowly. Jazz had just finished putting the suitcases into the trunk of her car when Christina made her way outside. Jazz grabbed her keys and went to lock their front door, when she got back to the car Christina was sitting in the passenger seat staring out of the window. Jazz got in the car and went to grab Christina's hand but Christina quickly pulled it away folded her arms and continued looking out of the window. Christina loved her but she wasn't feeling whatever was going on. She trusted her enough to go but that didn't mean she had to be happy.

They had been on the road for an hour and the silence hadn't been broken yet. Jazz glanced over at Christina ever so often and could see her wife was not only tired but uneasy. She exited off the highway and turned into a nearby cafe and shut off the car. Jazz turned to Christina and took a long sigh Christina still didn't budge.

"I know your upset, confused and--" Jazz was cut off by Christina. "You don't know what the hell I am and I don't know who the hell you are." Christina said with anger as she opened the car door and slammed it shut as she walked into the cafe. Jazz sat there it wasn't the response she wanted but it was better than nothing. She got out of the car and followed after her wife, as she was entering the cafe a tall bald man bumped into her and stopped her. "You are not safe...they are after you...only I can help you and Christina. Call me if you want the help." The bald man said as he slipped her a piece of paper and kept walking. He made his way to a White Benz and nodded his head to Jazz as he got inside. Jazz walked inside and sat across from her wife who was already eating.

"Damn they work fast we just got here." Jazz said trying to lighten the mood normally she would of said something about her wife eating before her maybe even tried to grab something off of her plate but not today. She sat back thinking about the bald man and what he just said. How the hell did he know? She should tell Christina.

"Baby I got a lot to tell you but I gotta ask your opinion on something." Jazz said in a serious tone. "We are on the run for our lives...should I trust a random bald man who I don't know...but says he can help." Jazz said in a tone that let Christina know all of this was serious. Christina sat her fork down and eyed her wife. "Our lives? A BALD MAN?!?!" Christina stood up remembering the random man that came to her front door and instantly put herself into a panic. Jazz saw the terror on her face and tried to calm her back down. "Baby sit down..we need a plan and quick." Jazz said touching her wife. Christina sat down and put her hands on her temples. "What the fuck did you do Jazz?" Christina said in a manner that wasn't mean nor ugly she just wanted answers.

Before Jazz could start the bald man was at the head of their booth. "If you are coming with me it is time.?" he said. Christina looked up at him and was shocked to see it was the same man. "My name is Leo and I know everything... let's go if that's what going down." Leo said as he walked outside. Christina and Jazz looked at each other and Jazz got up.

"Baby what if it isn't right." Christina said gripping Jazz's arm. "I guess we gotta see...and if we need to get out I promise we will." those were the words that came from Jazz's lips but not the words in her head. She had no idea why she trusted this stranger but she did. Jazz and Christina made their way to the white benz and got inside.

"I worked for Lena...I hated her but the pay was the pay. I kept it strictly business even though she wanted more...you know about that huh Jazz?" Leo said as he pulled out of the parking lot. Christina side-eyed her wife and shook her head. "Now that Lena is dead." Leo said as he looked at Jazz through the rearview mirror and Jazz put her head down slightly. "There is a hit out on you both even more on Christina now than before." He finished. Christina looked up confused and started asking questions.

"What do you mean a hit? More than before? Someone is dead?" Christina said tears forming in her eyes. Jazz touched her thigh and was shocked when her hand wasn't moved.

"I am keeping you all in a hotel until we make the next move. Richard is on the prowl and so is the Big Guy over Christina's hit." Leo said once again eyeing Jazz. "You all need to figure shit out and be ready to move by tonight it is going down." He said as he turned up the radio and let some Isley Brothers play. Christina looked at him thinking how the fuck could he bump some baby making music at a time like this. By the time they got to their destination Leo handed them keys to their rooms.

"I um, there are two rooms but the doors open up so the rooms connect...I don't know what y'all are going to need. I am in 1111." Leo said as he got out of the car and made his way inside. Jazz and Christina got out of the car and followed, the keys said 1214 and 1215. They found 1214 and went inside. Jazz sat on the bed and began to think when she came out of her thoughts her wife was sitting across from her just staring her down. Jazz took a long sigh because she knew exactly what she was waiting on. Jazz stood up and just started talking.

"You remember the night we met?" Jazz said slowly. Christina cracked a smile and started chuckling. "Jazz...we are in a random ass hotel...hits on our fucking heads...with a bald man leading us to "victory" so to speak...and you wanna discuss the night I met you at a fucking club?" Christina said calmly and started slow clapping. "Congrats, you have officially made my bullshitter list." she said as she got up. "I am going to find Leo, he seems to have more answers than you and I don't even trust him...I guess y'all have something in common because I no longer think I trust you." Christina said with no remorse. Jazz looked up with pain in her eyes and she grabbed her wife and brought her in close. Christina had mixed emotions as she was embraced by her wife but at the end love shined thru and she softened up. She held up her baby's head and looked her in the eyes. "Talk to me...now" Christina said once more.

"I was hired...to kill you. I was at the club to do that when we met." Jazz said slowly and dryly as she backed away from Christina not sure what was going to happen. Christina looked up at her wife deep into her eyes searching for a sign that this was a bad joke. It wasn't April fools day either. Christina backed out of the room a single tear fell from her right eye. She left the room without saying a word. She went down to where Leo said he would be and knocked on the door. Leo was in his room cleaning off his gun. "Who is it?" He yelled out. "Christina." she said.

Leo opened the door and Christina walked in slowly and zombie like. Leo picked his gun back up and started cleaning. "So are y'all ready?" he said blowing on the gun. Christina eyed the gun and then him. "Is that for me? You going to use that on me?" Christina said in tone that suggested she was ready for him to do it, put her out of her misery.

"No... it is for Richard and your father." Leo said placing the gun behind him. Christina looked up at him confused. "Oh shit...she didn't tell you." Leo said feeling bad.

"My dad...my dad is the guy who called a hit out on me?" Christina said the room quickly getting dark and just that easy she had blacked out.
