Christina got out of the car and slammed the door she walked up to her mother without saying a word and just looked at her. Christina’s mother stared back at her and the tears began to form.

“No, you don’t have the right to cry.” Christina finally let those words escape from her lips and continued staring.

“I know you’re angry, but there is so much you don’t know or understand. I know I shouldn’t of--“ Christina cut her mother’s sentence short.

“You shouldn’t of let me believe you were dead. You shouldn’t of left me period. Especially with a lie about you being dead. I need to use your bathroom.” Christina walked passed her mother and into the house. Christina’s mother understood her daughter’s anger and knew she need a little time but time was of the essence and they had business to handle. Jazz was in the car being briefed and was finally caught up. She opened the car door and walked up to Christina’s mother.

“Hello, Mrs. Carter.” Jazz said timidly.

“Jazz, it’s nice to finally meet you… sorry it’s under such weird circumstances. And call me Christine.” Christine opened her arms and Jazz and her shared an embrace. Christina had finished using the bathroom and admiring the house and she saw the embrace through the window of the door. It was definitely a bittersweet moment but it helped.

“So… what is it we need to do?” Christina said as she stepped back outside not making eye contact with anyone.

“Your father has had this planned for quite some time, I found a journal with every single last detail while we were still living together. I packed you a bag with all of your favorite toys and I tried to get us out of there one night.” Christine said sincerity in her voice.

“I remember that. Oh my God I remember that. I remember he grabbed me from you and I do remember him being angry.” Christina said before drifting off into a flash back

flashback

Christina was fast asleep in her bed when her eyes were bothered by a light. She sat up in her bed and found her mother packing a suitcase.

"Mommy? What's happeneing?" Christina said while rubbing her eyes.

"Baby we are going to visit your auntie Jackie for a little bit and I just want you to have your favorite toys. Look here you're going to need Mr.Nibbles right?" Christine said as she held up a bunny and made him dance.

Christine had placed the suitcase in the car and was going back upstairs to grab Christina. When she the front door Jimmy was standing there smiling.

"Daddy are you coming with us?" Christina said innocently.

"It depends, where do y'all think the place to go is?" Jimmy said as he grabbed Christina from Christine and carried her back up stairs.

"Y'all can go tomorrow ok." Jimmy said as he tucked his daughter in and headed back downstairs. All Christina could hear was yelling but Christine remembered the last words Jimmy said to her.

"If you ever think about taking my daughter ANYWHERE without my permission. I'll kill you myself." Jimmy said as he kissed her on the forehead and smiled before walking away.

Christine was knocked out of her flashback by her cell phone ringing.

"It's Leo, he was my lover after he found out how corrupt your father was. I sent him for you." Christine said before answering the phone. Jazz and Christina looked at each other because they thought he was dead but they never had checked.

"Hey babe, yeah they made it. You're still in the hospital? Ok. I will let you know. I love you too." Christine hung up the phone and looked at Christina.

"It's time." Christine said as she pulled a gun out of her pant leg and cocked it.
