Chapter 2

-Nalani's Pov

"Have you made a decision yet?"

"No..."

"Nali, you have barely 12 hours to make up your mind." My friend Alexis stressed.

"I know... But I don't think I could leave you guys, but I also know the job would be great."

"Becoming an FBI agent is like an honor. I would love to be one. But I know, you deserve it, and you should say yes." Alexis began to stare me down.

"But you guys are family to me."

"And your new team will become family to you too."

"But-"

"No. They'll be a new family to you, yes. But we'll still be here, your original family."

"Thanks... I'm just scared." My eyes began to water.

"Why?"

"What if they don't like me- what if I don't like it there-"

"First off. They'll love you. And if they don't, they have issues. And let's say you don't like it there... You know Lee will let you come back. None of us will be offended if you stay either... Well as long as you still visit."

"Of course I would!" I acted shocked that she would even think I'd ignore them.

"Then we're good." She smiled, but I could see the sadness. These past eight years she was always the person I went to for help, being the only other girl on the team. She became the sister I never had, "now, let's get back to the precinct."

"Okay."

"W-what's all this?" Wetness clouded my vision.

"We wanted to do something special Nali." Lee stepped up.

"But I haven't even-"

"We know you haven't made a decision for yourself, so we made it for you." Lee nodded to Tony.

"You're accepting the job, kid. After this party you're calling Agent Hotchner and telling him you'll be at the airport at seven a.m."

"But-"

"We'll be coming up with your stuff for your new apartment the day or so after." Connor continued.

"I don't know what to say."

"There's not much to. You're family to us, and that'll never change... But it's time you saw other stuff. It's for the best." Connor's voice was cracking up. I knew he would take this the worst.

"Thank you..."

"No need."

"And we got you this." Alexis handed me a box, "go on."

I gasped. Inside the small black box was a charm bracelet. There were four custom charms lying on the silver chain.

"The books for me," Lee spoke, "for all the books I've let you 'borrow'." I giggled.

"The high heel is for me, standing for all the times we've gone shopping and just hung out and done girl things." Alexis smiled.

"The football, baseball, and soccer combination symbolizes in one all the sports I've tried to teach you to play, and how bad you are." Tony smirked crossing his arms.
