Chapter 7: Happy Birthday John

~ John POV ~

Shiiiit

     I get up out of Dave's bed, and hop over to the door, looking out. He so knew what was coming, It was April 13 again. No one was around, and knowing Dave, he put together some kinda of elaborate supremely ironic suprise party for me, even after I told him not to make a big deal out of the stupid day.

     I move out of the bedroom into the hallway, if someone would have dropped a needle it would have probably echoed it was so quiet. I moved down to the Library, trying to walk as slow as possible; I really didn't want to be suprised. Making it to the doorway to the Library I found it with the lights off, and a faint glow from behind the couch, obviously Kanaya

     I move to the lightswitch, flipping it on.

Everyone was dead

Red blood sprawled on the walls, mixed in with rainbow puddles all over the floor, every single being was dead.

Except Karkat.

He was rocking back and forth in the corner murmuring random things to himself.

I stand there, not crying at all, I walk over to Karkat.

"What happened?"

He looks at me terrified,  and suddenly let's out a blood curtling scream.

"WAKE UP"

My eyes flash open as I gasp and sit up, tears flowing down my cheeks. Dave wakes up also, rolling over frightened also.

"John it's like 3am what is it."

I sniffle and wipe my tears away, trying to hide away my scared expression.

"I just want a hug I guess."

Dave scooted closer and put his arms around me, cuddling me till he fell back asleep.

I didn't go to bed again that night.
