"Adam wake up." I heard Aimee's sleepy voice say. I rolled over to face her and saw her sitting on her knees, looking down at me with a smile.

"How long have you been up?" I asked sitting up, facing her.

"Just a few minutes. You look real peaceful when you sleep..." She trailed off, with a shy smile. I glanced down at her hands in her lap, they were fidgeting. I looked down at my own.

"Well, uh I guess I'll go get ready and fix some breakfast. Then we can decide what we're going to do today." She said getting up off the bed and looking at me, to get up too.

"Goodmorning by the way," I said with a smirk walking downstairs, while Aimee stayed upstairs to get ready.

"Goodmorning," she laughed and then I heard her door shut.

_________

"So what are our plans for today?" Aimee asked getting up from the table to put her plate in the sink.

"I don't know. I was actually thinking about going around the neighborhood and messing with the kids. You know ghostly things, like pushing them off their bikes." I answer, leaning back in my chair. She turned her attention from the sink to me. She pretended to be taken back by my answer, but she quickly smiled after.

"You're crazy, you know that?" She laughed rinsing her plate off and putting it in the dish-drain.

"I've been told." I answered.

"But foreal though. What do you want to do today?" Aimee asked going into the living room. I got up and followed her in there too.

"I don't know. I was actually just thinking about staying home and thinking." I trailed off, sitting down on the couch beside Aimee. She turned her body completely to where she was facing me, with her legs indian style.

"You can't just stay here all the time."

"It's not like anyone else can see me, so why can I not stay here? I mean when someone walks through me all I am is just another wasted breath." I answered, looking at her. I didn't mean for my answer to come out so harsh. I looked down at my lap, almost ashamed of myself, closed my eyes to think about what I just said aloud. I heard sniffles a little later, I looked up to see Aimee in a progressing waterfall of tears.

"Aimee I'm sorry. I–I didn't mean to make you cry. It's just–" She held her hand up.

"Adam how could you think of yourself as just another wasted breath? I can see you and isn't that enough? Of course it isn't." She looked down at her fidgeting hands.

"Aimee its just that...that...what I'm trying to say is that all I am is just a spirit that you just so happened to able to see and talk to."

"Adam you're not just another wasted breath. You're not just another particle of oxygen, floating around, waiting to be used. And you're sure as hell not just some spirit I happened to be able to see and talk to. You're my spirit. Well not my spirit as in like that, but you get what I mean."

And this right here is why I love this girl.

I took a moment to analyze all what she had said. The meaning behind it all. Just till now, I had always thought of myself as just some lone spirit who couldn't find itself back home. But now Aimee has made me come to my senses and made me realize that I was obviously supposed to be seen by someone.

Someone special, like Aimee.

"Say something..." Aimee hesitanted.

"I don't know what to say." I tried thinking about what to say, but couldn't gather my thoughts.

"Well... say something about what I just said." She looked up at me, urging for an answer.

"Aimee I don't think I can. I mean what all you just said was perfect. You are enough for me. How you can see me and talk to me is just enough." I said reaching my hand out hold onto her's. But what happened next almost scared the hell out of me.
