"Well...say something about what I just said." She looked up at me, urging for an answer.

"Aimee I don't think I can. I mean what all you just said was perfect. You are enough for me. How you can see and talk to me is just enough." I said reaching my hand out to hold onto her's. But what happened next almost scared then hell out of me.

Chapter 7

"Adam." Aimee almost screamed. She grasped my hand between her's. I was to shocked I couldn't even move, my hand didn't go through her's. How did this happen?

"Adam! Adam!" Aimee was calling out. I looked at her, her eyes were filled with excitement.

"How is this happening Adam?" She asked.

"I-I have no idea," I answered. She was rubbing her thumb over the top of my hand. I took her hands in mine, lightly squeezing.

"How's this happening?" I ask her in disbelief.

"I don't know," she answered, almost sounding scared.

It was now the middle of the night and I couldn't fall asleep, my mind still replaying what happened earlier today. I want to know how that happened. There was a small knock on my door, it opened revealing a dark silhoutte. Aimee.

"Were you sleeping?" She whispered, walking over to my bed and climbing in on the other side of me criss-crossing her legs, facing me.

"No, I can't sleep because of what happened today." I told her.

"Same here."

It was silent for a minute.

"Do you think that, maybe the reason your hand didn't go through mine, is because of this..." She trailed off.

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"I don't know. Are you thinking that the reason why your hand didn't go through mine, might be because you're spending more time with me and like your spirit is kind of becoming, I don't know, stronger?"

"Maybe," I slightly nod my head.

"I was just thinking aloud..." She says looking up at the ceiling.

"What if that's what's really happening. I mean we've now known each other for what 3-4 days.... Ugh, that sounds so horrible. What I'm trying to say is that it feels like we've known each other for weeks." I say trying to explain myself.

"I understand, Adam," she softly says.

All of this is just so confusing, we're trying to understand how this happened but we're confusing ourselves even more. Maybe I can stay like this and not ever have to worry about anything I try to touch going through me.

"You don't mind if I sleep in here, do you?" She asks.

"No..." I trail off, not thinking of anything else to say.

She slowly pulls the covers down and slides underneath them, resting her head on the pillow beside mine her face only inches away from mine. Before I got here, I stayed in my apartment, not really knowing what to do, I always walked around and went site seeing around town. I couldn't really go to sleep, come to think about it I never felt tired, I guess it's a ghost thing. Ghost. Ghost as in dead. The word sends shivers down my spine.
