Weird. Was it ordinary for a werewolf to drastically change attitude like that? Shoto wasn't sure. Nor that he cared to know why either. He's a type who takes everything easily anyway. Shrugging it off, the bi-colored vampire put a pair of a casual outfit on himself before going to the couch, sitting right next to Katsuki.

There was an awkward silence between them. Katsuki tapped his finger in annoyed and glared over. "You- you need anything from me? Don't tell me you're hungry again-"

"No. Just a certain thought came in my mind. You haven't changed at all ever since before, do you? Hot-headed cusses a lot. Yet actually a softie," Shoto teased. A chuckle left the vampire's pale lips. Katsuki's face turned red once again. "Softie, ha? Isn't that what you called me before? Of course, my personalities would be the same. I'm the fucking same person, weirdo," Katsuki muttered.

"You're the one to say. You have changed a lot than your brat self. Where are those cheerful side of yours?" Katsuki snorted. It was the truth. Half and half he met in his childhood was cheerful, curios of everything, has a bright smile on his face almost for the whole time. He admit it was quite annoying, but he loved the smile. Now, the current Shoto was the total opposite. You can't blame him for not recognizing this vampire as his past friend. It was years ago anyway.

Shoto closed his eyes for a while as a respond. Why did he change....of course, it was because of his childhood. His father ruined everything for him. His family, his emotion. Shoto was able to protect his sanity and it was fortunate enough. He was strong to survive in such torture full palace. Yet, never did he thought of doing suicide. Was he really that strong? Shoto can't believe that. He failed to protect his family. What's the point of being strong if you can't even protect the ones around you?

"Do you hate it?"

Shoto's question out of blue breaking the silent they had. At first, Katsuki thought he was asking a question he shouldn't have asked. But the sudden question made Katsuki confused even more. What's up this vampire with his attitude? Avoiding his goddamn question and gave riddle instead.

"The fuck are you talking about?" Katsuki growled.

"Do you hate it? The current me. A vampire who you called as mentally and physically strong. Yet can't even afford to save innocent lives. Or perhaps, you prefer the past me. A cheerful Shoto?"

Now, this is beyond Katsuki's expectation. He slowly averted his gaze, relaxing on the soft couch. "Like I give a damn if it's cheerful or 'statue-like' you. You're still the one I made friends with, you're the only one who has the memories with me, and you're the fucking one who had saved me,"

"Tch. It wasn't like I wanted to admit that shit either. You're just you. Still, an emotional dumbass who thinks nothing but pity," Katsuki exclaimed. The blond's words made Shoto pout. Can't he choose more polite wording?

"Can it be you're trying to comfort me? The same thing you did like before," Shoto asked. He tilted his head to his side to confirm. Katsuki blinked as respond and looked over with an annoyed look. "Ha? Why would I fucking do that? Gloom or sad as much as you want. I don't care," He snorted.

"Heh...it does sound like you were trying to comfort me. Thank you, Katsuki," Shoto thanked with a gentle smile. Katsuki's face immediately turned red from seeing it. His smile, it was very beautiful. He does hope he can see it more often. "S-Shut up. It would be troublesome if you need to fight with such an emotional state, anyway. You're just going to be a burden. It wasn't fucking comfort!"

"Alright, alright. It's an advice, then? So you do care about me after all," Shoto continued.

"It isn't either! Now get the hell away from me with your damn annoying words!"

The bi-colored male vampire slightly laughed once more. What is this feeling? He always thought his emotion has long gone. Somehow, he felt happy when this ash-blond beside him. Instead of being annoyed more, Katsuki's heard was softened by seeing Shoto's laugh. He slightly laughed as well. Then, you can hear their arguments and laughs echoed in the Japanese style house.

~Time Skip~

Hours have passed. It was already night time. Katsuki had fallen asleep while Shoto, does his usual doing. Having his gaze off through the window, watching the starry sky. It somehow surprises Shoto on how early was the ash-blond's bedtime. But well, it's a good thing after all. Not all person has such difficulty in sleeping like him. The fire tragedy had always haunted his dream. The overwhelming heat, the screams of pain. Everything slowly tortured the vampire from the inside.

Shoto closed his eyes for a while. Until-
