Johnathan and Aquarius met up with Cedric, who was very grumpy to be left on 'babysitting' duty once again. Jason was visibly embarrassed that he got himself enchanted by a Siren's song and had to he saved while he had been unconscious, almost killed. He was still woozy from the aftereffects of the Siren's charm, and had difficulty blinking sleep out of his eyes. It unnerved him, that he could be controlled so easily like a marionette on a string. He barely remembered flying off the mast, and wandering into the dark tunnels in a daze, intent on following the velvety voice, before finally falling unconscious with zero control over his own body. His mouth tasted suspiciously like battery acid when Johnathan told him the Siren was literally seconds away from draining all his blood in his body.

Gordon was also sheepish, and he was soaked all over, considering he actually swum all the way to the island. He was shivering, and miraculously, his glasses stayed on his face during the entire process, which he was busy wiping seawater from.

Regardless, as they turned to leave, several enraged cries rung out through the tunnels, reaching the cave in haunting echoes.

Almost having rehearsed, Johnathan and Gordon both groaned loudly in pain and instantly clutched their ears, their faces pale in the dim light. The wails were awful, filled with nothing but rage and hunger, as a deathly chill slithered down Jason's spine. Being able to see in dark conditions, Aquarius quickly scanned the tunnels around them anxiously for any sign of attackers, her head whipping from left to right, trying to locate where the sounds were coming from.

"We need to get the hell out of this hellhole," Cedric growled," Now."

"Ugh," Johnathan groaned in agreement, dried blood glinting around his ears, neck and palms, with his right ear being smeared with a disturbing combination of his blood and the Siren's, as he then led the group with Aquarius in the dark tunnels, with Cedric bringing up the rear, a ball of fire licking at his fingers and his palm, ready to fly at any enemy and incinerate them.

Jason and Gordon walked in the complete darkness, trying their best not to trip and fall. Jason put a hand on Gordon's horse back just to keep track of where he was, so they wouldn't get accidentally separated in those foreign tunnels. And also, his head was still spinning and his mind woozy from being whammied by the Siren, it was a literal miracle that he was able to not trip and fall in total darkness.

Suddenly, there came a cacophony of sounds, with a screech sounding directly from in front of them. Jason froze in fear, his free hand creeping towards his spear in the form of a silvery rod, ready to lash out if necessary, his muscles tense. However, he didn't dare move recklessly in the dark, since he could accidentally hit Johnathan or Aquarius in his blinded and woozy state, who were standing before him.

He heard a swift, wet slicing sound, followed by a thunk, probably a body dropping.

"What's going on?"Jason called, his voice laced with panic. He and Gordon relied completely on Johnathan and Aquarius to be their eyes, which wasn't exactly reassuring.

"There was a Siren," Johnathan told him, then paused, as if having remembered that they couldn't see in the dark, and added," Don't worry, it's gone now."

Behind them, Cedric launched his fireball, setting a Siren on fire. She screeched in agony, her wings and skin burning, as she retreated back from where she came from, but it didn't take long for another to take her place. Everybody's heads whipped in that direction, watching, weapons ready, as the other Siren advanced. In that case, Cedric lauched another fireball, aimed at the ground of the tunnel. The fire rose up ferociously and attacked the incoming Siren, forming a lethal, living barrier, successfully blocking off the tunnel from any more hostiles.
