So I had a little fun with doing all these for the five main characters, was thinking about doing Herno, but maybe I'll draw that one later if you guys are interested!
This is all a basic idea to how the characters look like, it's completely fine if you envisioned them differently, just stick to your own version if that's what makes you feel comfortable.
I kinda wanted to go for a more line-art style at first, these are all posted in the chronological order that they've been drawn, so you'll gradually see me sticking more to normal coloring in the other pieces. Man, I definitely need to work on drawing armour, so don't worry, it's gonna get an upgrade in the future! Once I get this tricky business under control.
Those wings took so long to position right, and you might be wondering why I didn't draw the neurotransmitter and the straps for the wings. Well, one of the reasons is that I didn't want to disturb the shape of the hair and jacket since it looks decent and I don't wanna ruin it. Maybe next time.
During the editing stage of this poster, I had a version with a higher saturation, but then I decided to post this one since it comes closer to the original colors of the piece, and looks slightly more natural. Those elaborate patterns on the armour did take quite some time to think of and some careful tracing to finish, but in the end I think it's still worth it!
In my opinion, I think this one's the best one, probably took the longest to finish, too. At first his hair is too long and he reminded me a bit of Aizawa from My Hero Academia. I spent so long on the lighting, and at first, there weren't any rips in the clothing, but then it would make sense for those to exist, so I added a bunch since he's constantly living rough and has ran into quite a number of fights.
And lastly, Gordon. I had a brief idea about how the feathers and stuff would be positioned on the bow, but actually drawing it took longer than I expected, and it probably should have looked a little more flamboyant but then too many feathers would get into the way of combat, and the bow would look way too clumsy, so I dissed the option at the end.
Hope you guys all enjoyed! I'll be making a character height chart and Herno poster later if you're interested. And there will be a sequel to this book, titled Mythical Guardians: Shattered Relations. With luck, the first and the following chapters will arrive next year. See ya!
