Continuing through the desolated hallways, Kuro and Koga were at their wits end by trying to get to the Science Lab.
Among the many items that would be considered general lab equipment are pipettes, scales, centrifuges, Bunsen burners, freezers, hot plates, incubators, coolers, stirrers, water baths, fume hoods, etc.
So once they make to that room, they have to be on their best guard.
Koga: Wait...
Kuro: What is it?
Koga: Shhh. Do you hear that?
Both boys went quiet as they suddenly to begin to hear heavy breathing coming close by.
Koga: Someone is following us....
Kuro: Fuck...
Koga: Try to be quiet as possible.
Both boys turned out their flashlights and tip toed all the way up to the next floor where the Science Lab could be at.
The hallways were dark and creepy like usual.
But this is interesting because most of the time on some fear-based subreddits are all long hallways or something looking at you from some deep, dark place, so clearly this is something people are actually scared of even if they know it or not.
It's something that a lot of people are apparently sensitive to, and something that you might be too.
Especially if you're afraid of dark hallways.
Koga: Do you think the course is clear?
Kuro checked the surveillance camera nearby.
The answer was confirmed when he saw something moving in the shadows nearby.
Kuro: No.
Both boys looked at each other as they heard the footsteps and heavy breathing coming closer.
Kuro: Run.

Both boys wasted no time running as Koga cussed out loud.
Koga: Fuck! It's her again!
Kuro looked behind to see the crazed female student charging at them.
Kuro: You know her?
Koga: Yeah! She chased me earlier for no apparent reason. She must be another puppet for Yokai.
Kuro swore underneath his breath as they ran down the halls straight to the staircase. The female ghost following close behind right on their trail.
The school floor begin to shake from the stomping sounds of the ghost making it even harder for the boys to focus.

Koga: Persistent Bitch!
Koga quickly puts out a spell tag with an binding spell attached to it then place the tag onto the ground.
Kuro: What's that?
Koga: A binding spell.
Usually works that involve binding, banishing, cursing, & hexing scare off most spirits. Many believe that the effects will come back on them instead or at the same time it begins to take effect on its intended victim ... if someone has harmed you or yours in a very ugly manner...
The ground begin to glow white before the female spirit ran straight into her trapping her down.

Kuro: Whoa...
Koga: Hurry! Let's bolt! That spell won't hold her off for long.
Kuro nodded as he and Koga once again made a run for the Science Lab.
Once they reach the floor, they quickly made a dash for the room and closed it shut.
Both boys fell to the ground exhausted before their breaths went up to their throats as soon as they heard the stomping sounds once more.
Kuro: She's coming. Quick. Lock the door.
Koga quickly locked it and stayed quiet as the stomping sounds had stopped near the Science Lab.
That meant the ghost was looking for them.
Everything have gone into a deafening silence as both Kuro and Koga kept their mouths shut from making any noises.
Seconds soon turned into minutes until the ghost finally leaves by jumping into the ceiling and disappearing in the dark.
Kuro: Phew...We better watch out for her.
Koga: Yeah...and I get the feeling she ain't the only one that in the purge for looking for us.
Kuro didn't like the sound of that. How many puppets (besides Mei and Chibi) does Yokai have...?
Kuro and Koga then got up and scanned the science lab.
All they found so far was equipment and other utensils inside the science lab.
Koga: Are you sure your friend is here?
Kuro: She has to be...(This is where she died most of the time...)
So far, there wasn't a trace of her anywhere...
Kuro: Maybe I've been misguided...

His thoughts were soon interrupted by a loud sound coming from the closet area.
Both he and Koga looked at each other and nodded before going over the storage closet.
Once he gained enough courage to open in up.
???: NO! DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!
Kuro: Whoa! What the?!
The voice belonged to a familiar girl who was hiding inside the storage closet with only a scapel to defend herself.
Kuro: Konami?
Konami: K-Kuro?
Kuro felt a breath of relief.
At least it's someone he in the school knew was safe...
Konami: Thank God...I thought I was all by myself and- Umm...Whose this?
Koga:....
Kuro: Konami...This is Hibiki... He's...a friend of mines.
Koga: *Rolls his eyes* Since when were we friends? All you ever did was antagonize me back in elementary school.
Konami: Eh?

Konami: I...I was attacked...by a scary ghost...
Kuro raised an eyebrow. So did Koga. Scary ghost? Was this a possible chance the ghost they're looking for to complete the second game? Whatever leads they had, Kuro was willing to take the chance.

Konami: S-She had long hair and sharp claws...she dress like a female student...it was so scary...
