I still can't process the fact that Ashtyn is actually here with me right now. And I get to see her EVERYDAY! I'm just worried that she'll find out about him...
"So this is the kitchen, there's the living room, the dining room, there's my bathroom and my room...umm...oh yeah! And this is your room and bathroom!" I walk into her new room, her following right on my heels.
"Wow, the view out the window is..." she gasps.
"I know, I know, it's not the best but-"
"It's beautiful!" She walks up to the window and gazed out of it, dazed by the passing cars and the seeming to ever grow buildings. Sometimes I forget that she's from Texas. It's a adorable watching her stare out the window like a child waiting for their dad to arrive home from a long day of workI.
"Ok, ok, you can continue staring at the polluted air later, but right now I just want to help you unpack and catch up with my best friend!" Taking me by surprise, Ashtyn spins on her heels from the window and almost knocks me over by wrapping her arms around my waist.
She says against my chest, "You have no idea how happy I am that I'm finally here with you." I didn't realize she's crying.
"Awe, Ash, I think I have a pretty good idea." I lightly push her off of me. "Now wipe those tears away because we are about to have the best summer ever ok?" She nods. "Now let's get the rest of your luggage and help you unpack!"

-Ashtyn

There's still two months til school starts and I'm so excited to spend my summer with Gray. Maybe I'll even meet an LA. guy here...Unfortunately, I haven't had a boyfriend in a year...a whole year! Tells you something about how much I used to get out of the house...I'm hoping to change that while I'm in LA.
After Grayson and I unpacked all my luggage, we sit on the couch in the living room. "So Ash, there's this party tonight at my friend Abby's house, and I really think you should come with me so you can widen your friend group because...no offense here...we both know that I'm your only friend." Grayson says in an innocent tone.
"Excuse me, but for your information, I have plenty of friends besides you!" I say in offense.
"Mhm. And how many would 'plenty' be?" He smiles.
"Um, you know, like...ok fine I really do need some friends." After rolling my eyes, I look up at Grayson who's laughing at me. "Ok shut up, you know how much of a socially awkward person I am!"
"I know I do, and that way you're coming with me to this party tonight! You're going to become a whole new person! You know the ol' saying, 'LA. changes people'."
"Ugh, fine, you've convinced me, I'll come to your stupid party. But only because I want to change my social awkwardness!" I give in.
"Ok well it starts in about 3 hours, and my guessing is that you don't have a sexy dress to wear to it, do you?" He raises his brows questioningly.
"Um, not exactly..."
"Well then we better get shopping! Throw on some shoes and let's go!" Grayson hops up from the sofa, grabbing my hands and yanking me up onto my feet.
"Ok, ok, I'm going, I'm going!"

-Grayson

"Woah-" I stares at Ashtyn as if she were from another planet. "If I were still straight and I spotted you in that dress, I'd definitely have the biggest crush."
After her and I went shopping, she picked out a red leather dress with black heels. Insisted on buying them for her because I'm the one forcing hers to go to this party. Once we got back to the house, she went to her room, curled her hair, fixed her makeup, and slipped the dress on.
"Why thank you,"she giggles adorably. "So are you ready to go? Because I'm ready to get this over with!"
"Hey! Don't be such a downer! What if you meet some mystery boy here like in those cheesy rom-com movies!" I try to bring up her negative spirit.
"Yeah, because the chance of that happening it sooo big!" She sarcastically waves her hands in the air.
"Fine, be negative all you want for now but after tonight that's all going to change remember?"
"Yeah, yeah, let's just see about that."
