Amaia was an Asian girl that honestly had too much on her plate while balancing being a teenager in this modern society. Only when she actually started realizing it, she could do something about it. She has black, mixed hair, meaning it's straight but also curly. She has glasses and is recording to others kinda attractive. But she never saw herself that way, in her childhood, she would never be the pretty girl nor the popular one, therefore, when people started calling her that now, she did not believe it.
It was that time of the year and Amaia was excited to finally start high school and leave her old life behind. She loved all her friends and was grateful to all her teachers, but she was just so ready to finally close her chapter and start a new one.
She started JS Highschool in the main city which was a pretty popular school between her friends. There were 3 other girls there from her old school, their names were Jasmine, Cassandra, and Heather. Amaia has known Cassandra and Heather since 7th grade and they were both really nice girls but they didn't go in her class. In her class, there were 30 students and one of them was Jasmine. Jasmine and Amaia have known each other for at least 10 years, they started in the same kindergarten school and they both changed schools in 7th grade, guess where they ended up? In an international school, and they knew each other but rarely talked, and became good friends first in 7th grade.
Amaia had a lot of friends in her middle school, her main best friends were Melanie, Tiana and Vanessa. Amaia also had a friend group that included Reneé, Jealine, Amanda and a few other guys.
On Amaias sweet sixteen dinner all of her different friend groups showed up and she even invited Mulan which she wasn't as good friends with as she is now. Mulan didn't actually show up and they became good friends after school started.
It was a few days after her birthday, and one of her other friends had a birthday party that she was invited to. Amaia debated whether she was gonna go or not because she didn't actually know Sarah's friends and didn't want to intrude. Usually, Amaia was never shy and did quite frankly not care about what others thought of her, but this day was different. Something about that party felt a bit funky, not in a bad way, she just knew something would happen.
