Naomi paced back and forth, her cheeks a flush of peach and her eyebrows furrowed together in worry. She didn't even notice that she was stepping on her own kimono and spilling bits of rice here and there.

"Naomi!" scolded the elder while catching the grains of rice and blowing the bits of dust off before placing them in a small knapsack. "You musn't let the fate of that girl deter you from your work!" she barked.

Naomi turned back at the elder and gazed daggers into her pallid skin. "That- that girl is my friend and I- and I-" cool tears trickled down her already puffy eyes and landed along the curve of her pouty lips.

"Now now, child." The elder looked both at the guards looking the opposite direction and at the other concubines who tried to peek into the conversation without seeming to obvious.

The elder shuffled over to the sobbing Naomi and reached into her breast pocket, handing her a silk handkerchief. "I'm sure your friend is just fine. What was her name, dearie?"

"Dearest Chiho, you really are," the prince stiffened a moan, clenching his sculpted jaw and looking up to the roof. A droplet of sweat trickling from his forehead down to his collarbone.

He used his free hand to push Chiho's face down onto his manhood, refusing her to come up for air until-

"Nnh!" The prince released an almost animal-like grunt as he exploded down Chiho's throat, causing her to gasp and cough sporadically.

It wasn't any different than partaking with the gardener, but this time she was obligated to fake her enjoyment.

Chiho wiped her mouth with the back of her eyes, her clear blue eyes still focused on the wooden floor beneath her.

They had been at this for what felt like hours.

The room was thick in pungency and her body was littered in passion marks and damp spots of sweat.

She needed a bath. She needed a nap. She needed to sleep.

When she looked back up to the prince she could see how bemused he was. His hair was relinquished from the low ponytail it was in when they embarked up into The Tower In The Sky

he rested his upper body alongside a chest behind him, propping his head in a balled up fist, his golden hues never leaving its focus on Chiho.

There was a silence, and then the prince chuckled.

Chiho hugged a bare sheet in front of her chest, still looking down.

"May I ask the prince what he finds amusing?" she didn't care, but the jester must play the role of a fool.

"Nothing of great importance," he sneered playfully, wiping his forehead with a damp cloth.

"Chiho," her name snaked off his tongue like thick wine from the bottle. "Why haven't you asked my real name?" his eyes narrowed a bit in curiousity.

Chiho's heartrate quickened, causing its vibrations to be felt in her toes. "Um," she purposely shifted her head so her snow-white hair could cover her blushed expression. "I thought it to be offensive to his highness to invade such- such a private piece of information."

The prince outreached his hand, cupping her chin and tilting it upwards to look him in the eyes.

Chiho felt a jolt in her body, a clamminess in her hands. She felt like her body was about to melt.

She felt like she was sitting on nothing underneath her.

His glare was warm and purposeful, determined. Like a player in a silent game of chess.

The prince pulled her in for a kiss, wrapping his arm around both of her shoulders to pull her in.

Her bottom lip was gently nestled between his teeth, his tongue dancing wit hers.

She could taste his loneliness.

She could taste his need for affection.

He broke the kiss, her body still in his embrace. She hadn't noticed that a pitcher of oil had spilled onto the floors. Apparently the prince didn't either.

"My name is Kojitsu. And you, my little demon. You're going to be quite the one for me." His lips traced her ears and down to her collarbone, his animal lust picking up in pace again.

"The baths." He breathed.

Shall we go together?

"Hah! My looooooord!" Jaken fumbled nervously behind Sesshomaru as he strolled gracefully towards the castle, his face both bored and agitated.

One soldier squinted to focus on Sesshomaru's silhoutette, his hand firmly grasped at the hilt of his blade. "Oi! State yer business and not a step closer!"

The other soldiers began to bumble and awake from their 3rd mid-evening nap, all heads focused on Sesshomaru.

Who is this man?

What business he have here?

And who's the monkey?

"Monkey?!" Jaken exclaimed in disgust. "I have you know that I am Jaken and I am the grateful servant of Lord Sesshomaru, and if you know half of the remaining wits you posess you-"

"Jaken."

Jaken clutched his staff with a shiver, trembling in anticipation. "Y-yes, my lord?"

"The invitation."

"Ah-!" Jaken's eyes widened as if he remembered an important fact. "Why yes, that should clear this all up." Jaken shuffled in his kimono pocket and pulled out a royal blue fetaher with gold ribbon wrapped around the stem in a distinct pattern that required both delicate fingers and patience.

It was the summoning feather specially sent by Kojitsu.

Jaken held the feather triumphantly over his head, waving it left in right in a brattish fashion.

"Maybe this will jog your memory! We were specially summoned by the prince and request to sit with him this instance!"

The guards looked at Jaken, then Sesshomaru, then the feather. They scratched their heads until collectively grumbling in agreement to just let him through.

Of course, after eyeing the very eloquent hilt of his blade, they'd want no parts in that battle.

"Liff the gates!" the one-eyed guard yelled.

"The gates!"

"Open the gates!"

There was a silence, then the ground rumbled in front of the pair. The large wooden gates shook open, revealing what seemed to be a village painted from a fairytale.

The women, beautiful.

The men, strong and agile.

Even the clergymen eloquent and pristine.

This was The Castle In The Sky.

Jaken looked at Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru looked down at Jaken, and proceeded to walk forward into the village.

The guards eyed the two suspiciously until they were well into the castle, saying nothing but closing the gates behind them.

The one-eyed guard spat to the floor, growling in annoyance.

"Ye best arm yourselves. The prince only invites strangers into the castle for two things: war and women."

"And that ain't no lady as far as my good eye can see."
