My eyes fluttered open. I was in a horribly furnished room. I looked around me, “Elena!” She groaned and her eyes opened, “Ella? Where are we?” I shrugged, “I have absolutely no idea. God! Out of all the visions I have, why couldn’t this be one?!” Elena furrowed her brows, “Visions?” I nodded, “They used to come in dreams, but recently they have become visions. As in when I’m awake.” A man appeared, “Ooh. Sounds like you have problems. Man, am I thirsty.” He leaned towards Elena’s neck. “No! Not her!” He pulled away, “You’re offering? Splendid.”
“Trevor! Stop it!” I looked at where the voice came from. It was a woman with a pixie cut and a fair complexion. She was no doubt beautiful. “Who are you?” She sneered, “Does it matter?”
“Aw, come on, Rose, don’t be like that.” The man, who I assumed was Trevor, smirked. Rose rolled her eyes. Elena stood up, “What is wrong with you people?!”
“Be quiet.”
“Why do you have us here?!”
“I said, be quiet.”
“What do you want from us?!”
Rose smacked Elena, sending her flying into the couch. I screamed as Rose coldly replied, “I want you to be quiet.” I trashed around in Trevor’s arms, “No! Leave her alone! You sick bastards! Let her go! Do whatever to me, just leave her alone!” Trevor laughed, “Now, where’s the fun in that?” he pressed down on my shoulders, sending pain and numbness through my body. “Please… Leave her… Alone….”
I looked around; Rose and Trevor were not insight. I whimpered, feeling pain in my shoulders and crawled towards Elena. I shook her slightly, ignoring the anger when I saw a slightly purple bruise forming on her cheek, “Wake up…” I was as quiet as possible. Her eyes flew open, “Ella… Are you okay?” I nodded and put a finger to my lips, shushing her. I helped her to her, and we walked around quietly until I heard voices.
“We should leave! It’s not too late! We leave them here for him to find or at least let me leave! He’ll have mercy on you!”
“No! I’m tired of running, Trevor. We’ve been running for five hundred years!”
They were scared… I understood now. But why would they be scared? Apparently, they’re five hundred year old vampires.
Elena took a wrong step and the floorboard squeaked. Rose’s head popped up, “You… Why you little… Never mind, there’s nothing around for miles. If you think you can run, you’re wrong.” I pushed Elena behind me, “Who are you ‘giving’ us to?”
She shook her head, “That doesn’t matter. What matters is why. I’m pretty sure you know that you’re Petrova doppelgangers. It’s rare to have one, but two? You’re lives are going to be hell. Klaus will find you two and use one of you to break the curse. Now, the one million dollar question is: which bitch? Blue eyes or brown eyes? Curly hair or straight? Sarcastic or serious? Suicidal-”
“Just stop! I’m the one he’ll pick. It better be me. If it’s Elena…” Tears flowed into my eyes, “It won’t be Elena. I’ll make sure of it.” Rose clapped sarcastically, “I love your loyalty. Really, I do. But with an attitude like that, Klaus will want to pick Elena. He was hell-bent on making sure all of his victims suffer. Just ask Katerina. He killed her entire family because she turned into a vampire, therefore making Klaus wait another five hundred years for a new doppelganger. Oh, I can see the look on his face when he finds out there isn’t one doppelganger, but two! Back to the point, if you go voluntarily, Klaus won’t be satisfied.” I crossed my arms, “Then I will put on quite the show.” I turned to Elena, who had remained silent through this whole thing, “And you won’t do anything about it.” Elena shook her head, “You’re my sister. I can’t just let you die.”
