You Come First

Chapter 6: Wedding bells and Benz makes her debut

 Looking in the mirror, Mercedes starts to smile as her mother stands behind her making sure she is fixed. Turning around to face the door, she watches as all of the Rossi women enter holding a few items in their hands.

"Okay Mercedes, so as you know there is a tradition on a brides Wedding day where she is gifted something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Well as your mother, I am going to start off with something old by gifting you with this," Patricia says as she pulls out a bracelet.

She goes on to say, "This was a wedding gift that your great, great, grandmother was giving on her wedding night. From then on it has been a tradition to pass it on when the lady in the family gets married. After your grandmother passed away, it was left in my care and even though I never had the chance to get married, I am honored to pass it to you."

As tears flow down her face, Mercedes says, "Oh mother, it is an honor to wear this on my special day. I know somewhere, granny is happy that the tradition can be continued. I will cherish this forever and ever."

"That is the sweetest thing I have ever seen, it makes our gift to her seem like a joke," says Clarissa as she pout.

Standing next to Clarissa, Ciara pinches her shoulder then says, "Awe, don't pout, gifts given today are suppose to have meaning, no matter where they came from. Why matters are why the person gifted it to them and what it would mean when the children ask about them."

Smiling widely, Ciara goes on to say, "That is why I have something new for you. Now I know you are going to argue with me, but I manage to work really hard to afford this because my best friend deserves everything for what she has done for me and my family."

Opening the small box, Ciara takes out a pair of diamond earrings and helps Mercedes put them in her ears.  Mercedes smiles at her then hugs her as they both start to cry together.

"You are right, I am going to kill you because these are the same expensive earrings I told you not to buy because I am pleased with simple and cheap," says Mercedes says as they both start to laugh.

Mrs. Rossi starts to laugh as she says, "Well that will leave me with something borrowed. I was actually waiting until my daughter gets married but it looks like she is going to cause me to keep getting this clean professional for the rest of my life. But thankfully I get to lend this to you, as I did with my other daughter and daughters-in-law."

Mrs. Rossi pulls out a veil that looks custom made. It has a tiara at the top and diamonds are engraved into it. She places it onto Ciara's head as says to her, "May this mark the beginning of a very fruitful and long-lasting marriage just like mines and my other children."

"Thank you so much, Mrs. Rossi, I will not ruin this as I make my grand entrance. This has meaning and apparently good luck to marriages," says Mercedes.

"Luck is only the tip of what you will have, and please call me Veronica, we are practically family now," says Mrs. Rossi.

Huffing, Clarissa walks toward Mercedes and says, "Something blue was a pain in my butt because everyone takes up the jewelry part, but that is until I got a call from my Agent saying he wants me model the grand finally piece of the blue winter collection. It is a rear blue diamond that is worth over 48 million dollars. This gives me an idea to give it to you on your wedding day and have you model it after all this will give the wedding more publicity."

"Without further ado, Emilio please come in," says Clarissa. 

A well dress man with a briefcase came in and says, "Hello Mercedes, it is a pleasure to have a beautiful bride wearing my piece today as you walk done the isle to become to most envy girl. Because not only are you marrying the richest man in the world, you will also be decorated in top-notch jewelry. That includes this," he pulls out the beautiful blue diamond necklace.

Mercedes gasp as she stares at the beautiful necklace in wonder. She then turns around as Clarissa places it around her neck then embraces her giving her thanks for the gift.

"Now that we have gifted you, let's get the ball rolling. Someone please send my husband this way and tells him it's time," says Veronica.

As the wedding starts, people stand up for the bride but were in for a shock when they see a motorbike come through and stop and the end of the aisle. Then roses start to fall from the ceiling with Benz as she descends from it like an Angel. 

People are shocked to see Benz, but they are really surprised when she stands at the end with a microphone as says, "Before today I was known to people as Benz, but from now on I will be known as, Mercedes "Benz" Johnson Rossi."

She takes off her weave as Veronica and the other ladies help her to quickly put on the veil. The invited Paparazzi's along with the special guest is amazed to know who Benz really is. David Rossi starts up the motorbike as he rides down the aisle with Mercedes who sits behind him. 

David injures his leg trying to play basketball so when he thought he would not be able to walk Mercedes down the aisle, she came up with this idea.

The roses start to fall from the ceiling again as they pass and David handed Mercedes to Roman who has the biggest smile on his face. The wedding ended with them saying I do and the reception is filled with love, laughter and a whole lot of fun.
