"Karma, stop!" The voice calls behind the redhead as he rummages around his old room gathering up weapons and other things. "You can't just go out there like this!" The redhead ignores his words as he clips a pistole to his belt followed by two pairs of knives and other various weapons tucked on different parts of his body.

"I can and I will." He said as he pulled on the black gloves, fixing his uniform.

"Karma-"

"I'm not a kid anymore Grip," Karma said as he turned to the taller man his amber eyes burning a hot fury of anger as he fixed his caller, the same uniform he wore for his first assassination it fitted better now compared to back then when it was a bit too big but now it fit the young man nicely. "This killer not only killed my parents but not he's targetting someone I care about," He paused looking Grip square in the eyes his fist at his sides as he gripped the strap of an army bag he had slung over his back. "Someone I love. I refuse to let this bastard hurt him anymore then he already has." Karma turned on his heel and walked out of the office followed by Grip who was hot on his heels as the redhead walked down the large corridor.

"Karma you don't know this guy, he's on an entirely another level then you or I. He's killed countless other assassins, nobody has been able to stop him and-"

Karma halted turning to his mentor,

"Then I'll be the one to end this, end him." He continued walking down the long hallway past one of the infirmary rooms where Nagisa resigned, he pasted it without glancing in that direction before stopping at the elevator and pushing the button to call for it.

"What about your student? Do you just intend to keep him here-to leave without even telling him where you went?" Grip said sternly just trying to find some sort of reason to get the redhead to stay instead of going out on this suicide mission.

As the elevator arrived the redhead stepped in it Grip followed once more and honestly the redhead was getting sick and tired of his mentor's antics. He knew he cared but right now he was sticking his nose where it wasn't needed or wanted. As the doors closed Karma eyed the doors as if his looks could burn them down. "Nagisa wants to help me take this guy down, I appreciate it and I understand where he's coming from, but he's not ready. It took me years to get to this level and I can't just let him go with me. He'll be killed,"

"And you think you're ready." Karma let out a sigh between parted lips and shook his head,

"It doesn't matter if I am. This bastard did the unforgivable, I will NOT just stand by and let him get away with it." The doors opened with a ding and Karma stepped out walking down the long cement hallway that was dimly lit with lights across the ceiling. As him and Grip walked it fell silent the only sounds that echoed where their footsteps, Grip eyed his pupil marveling at how much he'd grown in these years, one thing hadn't changed though. He still refused to accept help, he could have assembled a team to take down this crazy man, hell even Grip would have gone with him but the redhead refused. He insisted this was his fight and nobody else's.

They finally made it to the large door and Karma turned to his mentor once more, "Grip." His voice came out in a forced calm manner though Grip could hear how scared the redhead was....even if he tried to hide it. "Don't tell Nagisa where I went, if you do he'll try to follow me. Do me a favor and contact his teacher let him know he's here. But do NOT allow Nagisa to leave these headquarters for the time being."

Grip stared at his pupil.....he let out a deep sigh and simply nodded. He stepped forward before placing a hand on his pupil's head and ruffling his red hair. "Be careful out there champ. I don't want to lose my best student."

"Your only student," Karma remarked offering a soft smile knowing his mentor was worried. Karma stepped back away from Grip's hand, he turned around and stood there for a moment...."Hey Grip," He began...."You were always like a father to me. Stay safe."

Those words hung in the air as the redhead stepped out the iron doors they creaked loudly until they shut once more leaving Grip standing there alone....

"Be safe.........son."
