I'm at my 2nd block class which is English with King. We have an substitute teacher for couple of days because Mrs. Lewis is out of town for the funeral. While I'm talking to King about random things, he pokes Ashanti as she turns around.
"May I help you?", She nervously said.
"Come sit with us", King said.
"Really", She said didn't want to come over here.
"Yeah, I won't hurt you", King said as she got up and sat with us.

I hope King ain't doing no fat shaming bullshit or I'm going have to kick his ass because he knows that I'm not with no bullying other kids bullshit.

What up y'all, my name is King Davidson. I'm 16 years old and I'm in junior at Burke High School with my boy since middle school D'Wayne and Marquis. I originally from New Orleans, LA but I moved to Charleston, SC when I was 9 years old with my parents.

Now we at the English class just talking since Mrs.Lewis is out of town for couple of days for the funeral. While me, D'Wayne and the girl named Ashanti talking, Kayla mean mugged her for whatever reason. I don't understand why they hate her so much because it's bad enough that she go through some shit in her personal life but they made it 100x worse.

I know she got the low self-esteem because of her weight and them asshole made her feel worse especially Brandon since I never like his bitch ass since day one which is I'm glad D'Wayne's coach kicked him out of the football team because of the fight that happens last year around lunch time. They were going to kick him out of school at first but they suspended him for a month.

"Why y'all talking to this pig, you that ain't nobody don't like her fatass?", Kayla asked as her ratchet ass friends laughing like that shit funny while Ashanti coloring something.
"Holy shit Kayla, if y'all don't leave her the hell along", I said getting annoyed with the overplayed fat joke that not even funny at all.
"And, she needs to loose some weights", Lauren said as she flip her blue cheap ass weave. Their asses better be lucky that my parents raised me right because I would knocked them bitches out in 10 second.

"Are you alright?", I asked hoping that she not break down and cry right in front of us.
"Yeah", She said grabbing the purple marker.
"Are you sure?", D'Wayne asked.
"Yes", She said about to put the stuffed up because it's almost time to go to the 3rd block class.

After school (Ashanti)
After the guy named King stood up for me around 2nd block, I got off the bus and heads home to the hellhole of the home. I can't wait until tomorrow so that I can go to Jewel's house and be there for a weekend because the creepy guy come over on the weekend and my family don't want me to get rape by him.

The weekend is the only time that I can be safe because I be with my grandma most of the time but sometimes my uncle and my younger cousin Shay. Shay is 13 years old that in middle school. We always very close along with Jewel and Raquan even though he stays at Columbia, SC for college. I got into the house and nobody home which is thank god because I don't feel like hearing my mom yelling at me over something petty.

So I went into the kitchen, took the bottle of water out of the refrigerator and went to the dinning room and do my homework. While I'm doing my homework, I heard that door getting open and it's was my mom came home with the drugs, random money and the wine. I don't know what all those money coming from but I highly doubt that she robbed somebody for drugs.

When I'm done with my homework, I headed to my room as my mom mean mugged me.
"What your fat ass looking at?", She asked as she about to lights up the cigarette.
"Nothing", I said scared that I'm about to get my ass whopped over nothing.
"Good, start cooking dinner when you come back here", She said as I went to my room, put my stuff up and went to the kitchen to start cooking the smother pork chop, mashed potatoes and corn since I took the pork chop out this morning before I go to school.

D'Wayne
The football practices is over and I'm standing outside and waiting on my aunt to get here while I'm listening to the music. When she pulled up, I took the earplugs off and got into the car while my aunt having jazz music playing low.
"Hey baby, how is the practice?", She asked as she drove off while I'm putting my seatbelt on.
"Same old, same old" I said looking at the window on the cool Thursday night.

"Good, when we get home, I'm going to needs some help because somebody coming over tonight", She said.
"Who did you invited?", I asked.
"You'll see", She said as she turns the music back up some. The whole ride was peaceful until she pulled up to our house. I grabs my stuff, got out of the car, close the door behind me as my aunt locked the car door, got into the house and went upstairs to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

After that, I dried off, washed my face, brush my teeth, went to my room to put on my draws, lotion my body, put on my deodorant and put on my red pajama pants and black wife beater. I don't need to do my homework because I already did my homework before the football practice started.

I went downstairs as my aunt started cooking.
"Mom, what do you want me to help you with?", I asked.
"I want you to set up the table, the guest will be here in 30 minutes", My aunt said as I went in the dinning room and start setting up the table for the guest.

While I'm setting up the table, I heard the doorbell ringing as my aunt came and got the door and it's was the middle age guy. Before she go back in the kitchen, my aunt brought a guy in the dinning room.
"D'Wayne, this is my boyfriend John, John this is my nephew D'Wayne", She said as I shocked his hands and told him go make himself a home.

I didn't know that my aunt have a boyfriend because she has been single for few years since my uncle which is her first husband died in the car accident at the middle of I-26. I know that she still got love for him even some drunk driver killed him few years back. When I'm done setting up the table, I went to the living room and start watching TV.
"Are you watching this?", I asked since the evening news is on ABC 4 Charleston.
"Nah, you can change the channel", The guy named John said. I grabs the remote and change the channel to Cartoon Network which is Amazing World of Gumballs is on which is thank god they ain't showing Teen Titans Go.

I mean come on, they be shoved that show down people throat by trying to show it all day. I'm like who the hell wants to watch that shit all day long especially the ones who can't stand that show. The whole time we in the living room, I'm learning more about this guy like he has been divorced for 2 years, an security guard at the hotel, and so on.
"OK boys, the dinner almost ready", My aunt said.
"OK mom", I said about to get up and wash my hands.

I went to the bathroom, washed my hands, dried them and went back downstairs to the dinning room and wait until she done with the dinner. So I ended up texting Ashanti for 10 minutes until I heard my aunt calling my name.
"D'Wayne, dinner ready", She said. I got up and grabs the plates of smoke salmon, green beans, roasted potatoes and the cup of sweet tea. I went into the kitchen and wait until John and my aunt came in to eat. Before we eat, we prayed and start eating.

While I'm eating the salmon, I got the question that pop up in my mind because she probably went out with him for a while.
"How long you guys has been going out?", I asked taking another bite of the salmon.
"For 6 months", My aunt said as she taking an bite of the roasted potatoes.

No wonder why she comes home the next day sometimes. We continue talking and getting to know John better until it's time for him to go home. I grab the plate and start helping my aunt clean up her mess before I go to bed since I got the game tomorrow night at Monks Corner.
