It's Friday and I'm getting ready to go to Jewel's house for a weekend. She told me to not to get on the bus today because my aunt will come and pick us up. So I got up early packing my things for the weekend, made my bed up and went to the bathroom to do my morning hygiene. When I'm done, I went to my room, put my clothes on, grabs my bag and headed to the kitchen as I saw my mom and the creepy boyfriend laying on the couch after they had sex all night long.

I decided to cook the breakfast for everybody since I got up early. While I'm cracking the eggs, I heard the deep voice and rubbing my ass and it's was her boyfriend.
"Hey baby, look good today", He said just being an pervert as usual. I moved his arms away from me and continue cooking the breakfast until he grabs my hips left and right.
"Stop", I screamed not screwing a man who old enough to be anybody's grand dad.
"Come on girl, I know you want this", He said tried to have sex with me as my mom got up and not doing anything to stop the attempted rape.

While he tried to rape me, I screaming stop until I finally escape. What's makes matter worse is that my mom pulled my hair and started beaten me.
"Didn't I tell you to have sex with him you fat bitch, I need some money?", My mom yelled as she punching me. I knew this going to happen all because all she wants to do is sell me for some hard drugs.
"Answer me", She screams. I continue crying harder as my mom and her boyfriend starting beating me until I can't fell my legs.

I can't take it no more because my mother choosing a man over her own daughter. So I laid on the kitchen floor as my mom keeps yelling at me.
"Get your lazy ass up bitch", She yelled but I can barely move. What the purpose of living knowing that nobody loves me at all and my life is nothing but pain and fears.

I'm at school with Rayne just talking as usual and I don't see Ashanti in sight. I tried to call her multiple times but she didn't answer it. My mind telling me that something is not right at her house because she supposed to come over this weekend. I'm worried about my cousin safety at that home because I love my cousin and I don't want nothing bad happens to her.

It's almost time to go to the first block as I saw D'Wayne walking in the cafeteria.
"Hey, have you seen Ashanti, I called her a few times and she ain't answer her phone?", D'Wayne asked sounded very worried.
"No, I haven't", I said getting worried about her.
"You're her cousin right?", He asked since I seen him around q lot.
"Yes", I said. He walked away with his friends as the bell rings.

On my way to my English class, I heard the principal calling me to the office.
"What do she wants?", Rayne asked.
"I don't know, go ahead and get to class", I said as I walked into the office and I saw my mom sitting on the chair crying and scared out of her mind.
"What's going on here?", I asked.
"We need to go to the hospital", My mom cried.
"What, what happens?", I asked confused since I had to skip school today.
"It's Ashanti, one of the neighbors called 911 so go get your things out of the locker and come on", She cried.

I knew something is not right about Ashanti because my cousin and best friend at the hospital fighting for her life. We did everything together like play outside, have a sleepover, watch movies and so on. I always have her back 100% especially when them asshole bullying her because of her weights.

After I got my stuff out of my locker, I went to the office and waiting on my mom to sign out before we leave.
"Are you ready baby?", My mom asked.
"Yes", I said as I went behind her and heads out the door to see what's going on with Ashanti and why didn't she returns my calls.

After the whole ride of silence, we pulled up to the MUSU Children Hospital parking lot as my mom turned the car off. We got out of the car, locked the door and walk into the emergency room. When we got to the emergency room, I saw my grandma, my other aunt and uncle sitting there at the warm waiting room.
"What's going on here?", My mom asked.
