Aiura clutched her ears, enclosing it from all sounds and mentions of the broken girl behind the bush. She's afraid, she's in a strong state of apprehension. For what reason? She really doesn't know. Perhaps she was afraid of accidentally revealing her love for the girl? Especially not in a situation when she had just suffered a heartbreak.

Or perhaps she was just afraid of confrontation. She knew this would happen somehow, she's a psychic, after all, and yet she decided to help her in this stupid scheme. It would never have worked in the first place, why did she do that? Why did she lead her to her suffering?

Why was she so... idiotic?

She was selfish, to say the least. She was overconfident, of course. She thought she could perhaps change the future, but it doesn't work like that. If it had worked so seamlessly, Aiura would probably have ended up with Saiki already, though she didn't, and neither did she change anyone's future.

But she felt confident in making the sullen girl happy. She knew that Teruhashi would be happy, somehow. But, she doesn't know why she's in such a pathetic state right now.

Did she do something wrong?

"Go."

A voice called out. Aiura's head snapped up, glancing around to see no one. She turned and peeked on top of the green bushes, her eyes merely glancing at the girl. Her blue hair fell on both sides of her head as her face was buried in her knees. Soft sniffles could be heard from her.

"Go to her."

The voice called out again. It was a soft, gentle voice; a female's voice. She sounded monotonous, and yet so full of emotions at the same time. It gave off the same vibe as Saiki did, but her voice was laced with gentle encouragement, compared to his usual cold demeanor.

Aiura would have questioned the voice, if it wasn't for her frantic and desperate state as she stares at Teruhashi with restless concern. She heard the voice call out to her, over and over, each repeating the same phrases, over and over again.

It was as if the voice was urging her to comfort the girl.

And so she did.

Aiura meekly walked out of the bush, and upon seeing her frail body, she couldn't take it anymore. 'If Saiki had left her in such a broken state, I'll be the one to fix it.'

She silently rushed to her side, crouching down and softly patting the blue, soft hair. Her head shot up with delicate fear, her eyes quivered with an unexplained emotion. Teruhashi was startled to have someone see her in such a devastating state, but relaxed when she realised it was just Aiura.

Aiura stared at the fragile girl next to her, her heart aches as she watches pristine shards of tears trickle down her soft cheeks. She tackled her into a warm hug. Upon impact, Teruhashi jolted, but soon melted into the warmth of her arms as she wraps her own around the blonde. Her tears fell at a rapid rate, almost like a waterfall as she cries her heart out.

Sniffles. Teruhashi wipes her eyes with her fingers as she sat next to the blonde with her head propped against Aiura's shoulder.

The sun had set, the sky now glows a soft purple luminance as the moon shines upon the land. Birds chirp their last songs as they went into a peaceful slumber. Aiura had her hand softly patting the blue-haired girl's head for a while, it began to ache slightly, but she was quite happy to have supported her love.

Aiura thought about it for a while, "Go," The voice said. But did the voice only called for you to simply pat her on the head? She fully doubt so. There might be a hidden motive, and Aiura may have the slightest grasp on what it is.

She sighed, leaning her head back against the dull, gray walls.

"Hey... Kokomi?"

Teruhashi glanced up, slightly concerned as that was one of the only times Aiura called her by her actual name, and not by silly nicknames. "Y-yeah?" She stifled out, voice croaky from her tears.

"Saiki didn't come, did he?"

"No..." Teruhashi sighed. It was a sigh of defeat, all her motivation and determination had been washed away into nothing left but a broken heart.

"Well... He didn't come, but you know who came?"

Teruhashi simply sat up and looked at her with confusion. Aiura had an unusually serious look, she stared intensely into the blue, oceanic eyes with her pupils dilated with pure joy.

"Me. I came here for you." Aiura said, her face remained still, though her heart jumped in all directions by the sudden confession and the cheesiness of the phrase. She may have beaten herself over the poor timing, but little did she know, that was all the sullen girl wanted to hear.

Teruhashi said nothing, but her lips curled up while tears once again welled, though with joy instead of sadness. She lightly slapped Aiura's shoulder jokingly, in a friendly manner, before slumping and pressing her face against it as she lightly sobbed.

"You know, I love ya. I kinda liked ya for a long time now. I know you may not feel the same, but I just... I don't wanna keep hiding so pathetically, especially when you're so heartbroken after this. I just... I... I want you to know that, even if the person you love doesn't love you back, I'll always be here for ya. I'll be the sunflower to your life. I'll make sure that your life will be as bright as happy it can be, even without that lousy, idiotic, pink bastard!"

Aiura exclaimed, giggling and looking away as to hide her sweaty palms and furrowed eyebrows. She said it, she finally said it. Aiura can only now brace for what comes, it's either their friendship jeopardizes, or nothing good comes out of it.

"I'm sorry... I don't, I don't feel the same way..." Teruhashi muttered under her breath.

Aiura had her face leaned against her palm. She expected it anyway, there's no use crying now.

"But, if you want to start over with me, then I'll gladly take the chance. A date would sound nice." Teruhashi gleamed. She gently removed Aiura's hand and smiled warmly at her. "Thank you Aiura, thank you so much."

If Aiura hadn't been through months of acceptance and aversion, she might have bawled her eyes out by now. Though as strong as her mentality had built up, she couldn't help but allowed a few tears to drop.

Soon enough, both of them are in each other's arms, crying their utter hearts out as they spout random nonsense in hopes of cheering each other up. Even though that failed miserably, they were soon cuddling embracing the other as they comfort each other with delicacy and softness.

a/n: alright let's be real, teruhashi isn't going to immediately start loving aiura the moment she confess. she just went through a heartbreak, and then suddenly got told that her best friend is actually in love with her, c'mon.

also, "why wouldn't aiura just read the future and see how her relationship with teruhashi ends up?" wELL, aiura is literally in denial and in acceptance. she really thought nothing is going to come up when she looks into the crystal, so she didn't really bother. plus, she "bedazzled" the crystal ball to the point where you can't even see the crystal anymore.
