Chapter 37: (Xavier's POV)- Donkey Kong
I woke up to see her still sleeping peacefully next to me. Last night was... well, last night. I know she was talking about me, I know it but I also know she was drunk, which meant whatever she told me last night, pouring her heart out in a way, wasn't supposed to be told.
She was right, drunk minds speak sober thoughts, but those sober thoughts are just thoughts, and that too for a reason. They're meant for you, your mind, and your heart to know, nobody else. And then you get drunk and the alcohol really does just fuck you up. I'm falling in love with her and I know it very well, but I'm not losing this game, I promise you.
I looked down at her with a smile playing at my lips while I ran my fingers through her hair. She stirred before ever so slightly smiling in her sleep, so softly and slightly that I thought I had imagined it but then she let out a small laugh before hiding her face in the crook of my neck.
"What the hell..." she mumbled against my skin before shooting up, pulling herself away. "Why am I in here?" She scratched her head while looking around in confusion, squinting at the sunlight. "My head hurts," she cried before collapsing back onto the bed, face-first onto the pillow. "I shouldn't have had this much last night. God! This is your fault! You shouldn't have challenged me to drink more, Parker!" she groaned into the pillow.
"Oh, this is my fault now? Great," I laughed before poking her side, tickling her, making her scream before sit up and glare at me.
"Don't fuck with me right now, Xavier." she glared.
"Remember when I said that, love? Did you listen?" I poked her again, she smacked my hand away, hard. "Hostility, ouch!" I annoyed her even more. Her reactions keep me running, I swear. I kept poking her, aggravating her more and more until she let out a groan and climbed on top of me, straddling me and pinning my hands on either side of my head, against the headboard.
"Don't. Fuck. With. Me. Right. Now. Parker." She spoke intensely while her forehead touched mine.
"Do you remember what you said last night, love? Not so aggressive then." I smirked, provoking her even more.
"What did I say last night?" Her face grew pale as she probably recalled the whole incident with Peter. "I still can't believe he did that. Thank you." She suddenly wrapped her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly. "I never thanked you," she said as she slowly pulled away, her lips an inch away from mine.
I stared straight into her eyes before my eyes trailed down to her lips. I watched as her eyes followed mine and trailed down to my lips.
"Aubrey, if you don't get off of me, I'll kiss the fuck out of you." I meant those words when I said them.
She hesitated before pulling her arms away from me and slowly getting off, sitting beside me with a sigh. She folded her arms across her chest before turning to face me. Feeling her gaze on me, I turned to look at her too. "Maybe I shouldn't have gotten off of you." She shrugged.
My eyes widened at her words. "You're more than welcome to get back on," I smirked.
"Why would I give you what you want, love?" she smirked before getting out of bed and grabbing an Advil from my nightstand, and heading downstairs, probably for some water.
I laughed and shook my head before getting out of bed and heading downstairs. She finished taking the pill until the house phone rang. She went to answer it since she was closer to it.
"Hello? Catherine, hi!" I walked over and put it on the speaker. "Sorry it was a long night, Ace and Violet dropped by actually and we just hung around," Aubrey explained, lying of course but being honest would get me killed so, thanks to her for that.
