The next day Matt woke up and went out to see Connor and a girl with long, brown hair talking in the auditorium.
"A Body Has Bee- oh hey Matt!" Connor said
"Hey Connor, who ya talking to?"
"Maddie," the girl replied
"Swag, nice to meet you." Matt said then left to find some of the others.
He saw the Australian girl pacing the hallway, muttering to herself
"Hey, what'd you doing?" Matt asked, she was taken by surprise "Just thinking, I'm Fleur, by the way, nice to meet you." Fleur stuck out her hand, Matt noticed her jacket was very thick, even thought it was the middle of summer
"Matt," Matt said, shaking her hand.
He walked back to the dorms he found last night and saw June and someone in awful dollar store makeup, painted to look like the joker.
"Hey, I'm Matt!" he said to the pair "what're you up to?"
"Just thinking," June said "nice to meet you Matt."
"Nice to meet you too June," Matt turned to the one in the joker makeup "Why are you wearing that makeup?"
"Society." He replied "I'm Tyler, nice to meet you."
Matt gave the duo a smile and walked away.
He ran into a boy with long hair on his way back to the auditorium.
"Sorry!" Matt said
"It's alright," He replied, he was wearing a pink, purple and blue sweater and his hair was down to his shoulders "I'm Twig," his voice was deep and he was much taller than Matt.
"Matt," Matt replied "Where are you goin'?" He asked.
"Auditorium, I saw a cafeteria next to it."
I'm going there too, walk with me." Matt said in delight.
They get to the cafeteria and see the girl who called bullshit on the rules. Matt walked up to her
"He-"
"Kenny. Fuck off." she snapped then continued to eat her pasta.
Matt walked away from Kenny and went to get something to eat. He and Twig got a danimals and sat down at a table with Izzy and a girl with dirty blonde hair.
"Hey," Izzy says "Me and Sav were just talking about the weird bird guy, his name is Max, I think he planted some spies in here, look out for them."
Matt sat there in disbelief "Do you think anyone could be a spy?"
"I don't know yet," Izzy said "but I know it won't be long till they try to kill some of us off." Matt finished his danimal and left the table to reflect.
'Who could it be?' Matt thought to himself 'Connor maybe? He was pretty mean. No, it couldn't be him, he's spent all day alone with Maddie, she would be dead by now if it was him.' He sat down to think 'Tyler? June? Izzy?' Matt must've been siting there for a while because when he checked the time it was 7pm. He fell asleep right on the floor, a risky move.
When he finally woke up he was in his dorm, he saw a note on his bed. He opened it, the handwriting looked terrible, like a 6 year old had wrote it.
"Found you in the hall, took you to bed. Sorry for yelling at you that one time
-Connor"
Matt put the note in his pocket and checked the time, 2am. He sighed, and tried to fall back asleep.
