           She's really here! His little girl is here! How?! Why?! What happened to her? He has so many questions.

          His thoughts are interrupted by a knock on the hospital room door. "Come in." He says quietly. The door cracks open and Chloe's face appears. He gestures for her to come in with his head. She opens the door the rest of the way and steps in the room and closes the door quietly behind her.

      She slowly walks over, Eyes on the young woman on the bed, and she sits down next to Lucifer. They sit in silence for a minute, until Chloe finally speaks. "So," she pauses. "You have a daughter." It wasn't really a question.

     His sighs. "If it makes you feel any better no one but Maze, Amenadiel and unfortunately, my father knew about her." He said.

      She looks at him. "You thought I would be upset?" She says. "Yes it's surprising but I understand why you didn't tell me."

      He looks down at his hands. "But I still should have told you." He lifts his head and looks into her eyes. "You're my partner, I should have trusted you enough to tell you this and I'm sorry." He runs his hand through his hair. "I didn't want you to find out like this."

    She just sits there not knowing what to say. She takes his hand into her own and squeezes. The small gesture seems to break him. Years of pain hitting him all at once. Sobs are torn from his throat and tears are running down his face.

          He doesn't resist when she pulls him into a hug. In fact he hugs back immediately. He cries on her shoulder for what feels like hours but she doesn't rush him.

    Eventually his loud subs turn into a quiet sniffles and he sits up. " 'm' sorry' " he says voice still thick with emotion.

        She pulls back and gives me a reassuring smile "Hey, it's ok." She says reaching out to cup his stubbled cheek. She wiped the tears away with her thumb still smiling at him.

     He reaches up and puts his hand on top of hers. He gives her a little smile and drops his hand.

        She's about to say something when the door opens and a nurse walks in with the clipboard. "Miss Decker?" Chloe nods "I'm very sorry but visiting hours are over. I'm going to have to ask you to leave."

    Chloe removed her hand from Lucifer's cheek and stands up. "I'll see you tomorrow Luci." She says. Before she can turn around he's standing and throwing his arms around here.

       After getting over the initial shock that Lucifer Morningstar -the playboy nightclub owner who doesn't know anything about physical contact that has nothing to do with sex- is initiating a hug, she returns it.

             After a minute they separate enough to look into each other's eyes. "Thank you." He whispers. He places a quick kisses to the top of her head and backs away.

      She can feel the heat rising and her cheeks. "No problem." She says ducking her head hoping he didn't see her blush. She clears her throat and gives him a quick smile and turns around to leave.

                "See you tomorrow."" he says

                 She looks over her shoulder "bye Lucifer."

     She smiles at the nurse and walks out the door.

      The nurse turns to Lucifer "do you need anything before I leave?" She asks

     "No I'm OK, thank you." The nurse nods and walks out closing the door behind her

    His sighs and plops down on the chair. It's gonna be a long night.
