Yuuup, now we're onto arc 2 ships (at least for now)! This, well, definitely isn't our favorite ship, although it's neither of our least favorites.

eaz's thoughts

Moonbli is probably one of the most popular ships of arc 2. I suppose I can get it- it's canon, and the feelings they have are obviously mutual... but I still don't really like this ship.

Firstly, Qibli comes on... just a bit too strong onto Moon. I just don't understand why such a large part of his character early on has to be his infatuation with Moon and pleasing her. It seems unnecessary in terms of the rest of the arc, rather than just enforcing that Moon has love interests.

I think Qibli has the possibility to be a really interesting character, but with him being all "damn moon has a sweet ass ugh..." in the beginning, it just made me not like him.

In the end, it just doesn't seem like a super necessary ship to me, considering how it actually became canon in the end, but overall I don't really care about it as much about some others (cough... you'll see next chap a ship I like a lot less relating to Moon).

gale's thoughts

moonbli is another one of the more "meh" / boring ships to me. I can't find myself getting invested in it at all, nor do I see why it's one of the more popular arc 2 ships.

I get that there was a whole stupid love triangle sideplot, but that sideplot in itself was really dumb and unnecessary and spanned onwards for WAY too long. along with that, the ending of darkness of dragons was already bad enough imo, but then they have to tack a forced ship onto it as well?

to be honest, I can barely remember any scenes where moon and qibli even just. interacted. and let's be honest, moon had way more chemistry with characters like kinkajou and turtle. tho, i'll admit that most arc 2 characters lost most of their personality from books 6 or 7 onwards, so it might be easy to see why I find this ship boring.

and, well... that's all I can say about it: boring. it's not appealing to me, and like the other canon ships, is just... really rushed and forced.
