One Crazy Semester

Part 1 :The beginning:

Welcome to One Crazy Semester. There are many characters in this story so prepare to hold on to your hats. One character will be described on their looks and personality every chapter. Hope you enjoy

Jasmine is everyone's modern book- loving, hoodie wearing type of girl. Her hair is always tied in a half-cup half down hair-do and sometimes a messy bun.Her beauty doesn't come close to anyone I've ever met.She has 3 younger siblings Jazzelle(Jazzy), Alexander(Alex) and Alexandra(Alexa) King. Even though she's only 18, she had to go through her parents' death, a heartbroken problem at school and lying to her bestfriend Liana. Jasmine is only shy when she wants to be and never backs down a fight when it comes to her loved ones. She doesn't let any and anyone into her life though, she's already made that mistake and promises to never make it again. Jasmine is a girl who knows how to calm herself down when someone made her mad or if she's scared but not when she's excited. She gets mad sometimes but cools down but when she's really mad, I suggest you cut your losses and run for the hills till she calms down.

My day was going perfectly fine, I woke up, thanked God for life and as I heard a "ding" from my phone,I quickly reached for it hoping that it was from my childhood crush 'Luke Benjamin' after asking him if he wanted to hang out Wednesday night since that might be the only time I was available to go out this week but when I opened my messages there was a message from Jazzy saying to come down stairs or were gonna be late but I ignored it and headed straight for the bathroom.

"JASMINE! You're gonna make us late for school and for your information I actually wanna go today" said Jazzy with a harsh tone in her voice.
I said nothing and carried on with my shower. 5 minutes later,she got a text. "Hey I think you really should hurry now because Liana said that Luke got his new car and is giving us a ride to school". After hearing that at first, I thought she was only tricking me into hurrying up,but when I got out of the shower and checked my phone to see if I got any messages from Liana, there it was, the message.

I quickly hurried and got changed trying to comb my hair and eat breakfast at the same time but that didn't really work out well. I tried to lace up my shoe and pick the strings of hair out of my mouth when I heard the doorbell ring and the door open. My face grew with fright at the thought of Luke seeing me in a plaid shirt and shorts so I tried to make my way up to my room to put on proper pants and then I ran downstairs almost missing a step. I slowed down as I arrived at the bottom of the stairs and dusted myself off after sweating so much. Trying to catch my breath I walked into the kitchen to find Luke eating an apple swiping through his phone. Just as I was about to turn to exit,he glanced up and called my name which caused me to stop in my trace."Jasmine, there you are", I slowly turned around trying to put on the best smile that wouldn't easily make him walk away in confusion and calmly said" Hey Luke", "We were waiting for you to finish getting ready and I got a little hungry and took an apple, is that ok?". When I calmed down,I felt like myself again and it finally got easier to talk to him"Why are you asking? Your like family here, didn't you just see your sister barge in like she owned the place?". We both laughed and his smile made my heart melt into a gooey puddle of love. "Well are you ready to go?" He asked with his thumb pointing towards the door, "As ready as I'll ever be". When we walked out the kitchen and into the living room I felt a heavy weight fall on me which caused me to lose balance and make a connection with the floor, before I could turn around and see who it was, the person shouted loudly and pulled me up to give me a huge hug "JASMINE!".

When turned over and clearly saw the person and my face changed from confusion to happiness as I saw my bestfriend and also the twin sister of Luke, "LIANA". I hugged her so tight she had to poke me three times for me to realise I was a few more squeezes close to breaking her ribs, and I let her go as she panted for air." I missed you, it's been too long since I've seen you" she said as she placed her palms on my shoulders and pulled me in for another hug. "I missed you to". Jazzy rolled her eyes and headed for the door as Luke followed. "You know it was only 2 months right? And even though, you guys still talked on the phone and went over by each other almost every Friday and Saturday" she said with her arms crossed, "Oh please like you're not gonna act the same when you see Emily" Luke said. "Yeah and you with Zach going all 'Hey Bro' and 'What's up dude?' comments" she answered in a deep voice trying to mimic Luke and Zach. We all burst out laughing and made our way to the door but then I paused for second and realised something, "Wait, where are the twins?"I asked in a panicked look, "Mom took them to school because YOU overslept", I let out a sigh of relief as I held my hand on my chest. "I call shotgun" I said thinking Liana would've competed for the front seat as she always does but she didn't mind. "Go ahead" she said with a small grin on her face and after seeing that grin,it made me realize the huge mistake I made by saying it because I would have to sit near to Luke even though he will be driving and focusing on the road and there was a hand rest separating our seats.

The drive went by in awkward silence until " How was your summer?" Luke turned his head facing me and quickly turned back at the road. "It was cool I guess. How was your 5 day trip to Hawaii?" Luke opened his mouth to speak but Liana interupted and went on babbling about everything that happened " It was so much fun but it would've been if you were there even though I saw Luke get pinched by a hermit crab, it wasn't as fun as not seeing you Jas" she leaned forward and hugged me around my neck as I gave her a little pat on her forearm then I let out a little laugh "You got pinched by a hermit crab? Hilarious"." It was kinda big and he digged me see" he took his left arm and stretched it toward me and I pulled it in for a closer look "Wow, that really must've hurt". "Yeah" he said eyes still on the road. I didn't let go of his arm still pretending to watch his injured wrist while I examined his biceps poking out when he stretches and then I got interrupted by a loud 'ringing' noise and when I came out of my glance I quickly let go of his hand and watched a bunch of classmates cross the road and head for class. "And this ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when you arrive late for school" Jazzy said as she points toward the school entrance. We all turned our heads in that direction as we saw the principal, Mrs. Edwards, giving out pieces of sticky notes and writing on them as she gave it to an extremely long line of students waiting to get inside. "We're gonna miss 1st period because of this line" said Liana as she dropped herself on the backseat "I won't get to see Zach till lunch". "Anyone got any ideas?" Jazzy said as she dragged her hands messily through her hair. My face grew with a large grin "I've got an idea"
