One Crazy Semester

Part 3:The awkward conversation:

Alexandra and Alexander King. These twins are always unpredictable when it comes to adventure, no one knows what they're up to. Alexa is the upbeat, one who always has a plan and sticks to it.
She only wears her glasses during class time cause that's the only time she actually needs them but Alex wears them on the regular. When the twins were born they had a few difficulties coming out of the womb because somehow,they ended up coming out at the same time which apperently caused their eyes to change two different colors due to the invalid space which actually almost costed them their lives, but we thank God they came out safely even though they still had to go through some inspection to make they were okay and also even more inspection on their eyes.Turquoise on the left and Blue on the right.

We arrived home and immediately started changing and packing our clothes, but when I was walking past Jazzy's room, she held up a finger towards me and I paused for a while.I looked over in her direction,"Umm Jasmine, I think you might wanna pack for more than you think" she said. My eyebrows were twisted all over with that little comment,"What do you mean?", I walked towards her and put my focus on her phone and saw a message from my parents so I read it aloud,'Hey Jazzy, we have something to tell you and the others. Work called us and we have to go away for a month in Peru to explore the new caves that opened up. Don't worry you'll be staying with the Benjamin's while we're gone and you will be provided with enough money for school and other errands if needed just don't use out all of it cause there is four of you. We love you all tell the twins that we love them, let Jasmine know to never stop trying and we'll see you guys next month'. I took a step back and held my hand on my chest trying to control my breathing as I waved my other hand to fan myself and I slowly gained air and then, I felt weak in my knee and I fell on my back and the last thing I saw was Jazzy running towards me and after that, I blacked out.

It took 15 minutes to get back up on my feet and when I woke up my head felt like it was have the loudest party in the world and began pounding with pain."Oww" I said as I tried getting up from on someone's lap but they helped me up and said "Are you okay Jasmine?".After a while, I tried understanding what was going on until I actually heard the person's familiar voice and when I looked up it was "Luke?!. What uh- what are you doing here?"I said."Well when Liana and I got here, we came upstairs to find you lying on the floor so we stayed with you until you woke up.See",Luke has his hand moving all over the room."Oh" I sat down and put my first two fingers on both hand on opposite temples. Liana bursted through the door and checked to see if I was ok and gave me a big hug and a worried smile,"Are you okay? Jazzy told us what happened",she said as she placed her hands all the places imaginable on my face to check for any fevers or headaches."I'm fine Liana, you don't have to worry, I was just shocked by what was going on" I answered as I grabbed a hold of her wrists and placed them to her sides."So you're staying with us for the month. Yay, my bestie is stuck with me for a whole month, this is going to be fun" Liana said with excitement. "Yeah this must be a dream come true for you two" Luke said with his hands in his hair. "Definitely" I answered as we stared at eachother.

We all got out of the house(finally)and drove to the mall and walked past the entrance."They're at popcorn palace"Liana said as she slipped her phone back in her pocket.We walked through the crowd of people in the mall due to the fact that it was Friday and we arrived but Alexa took my forearm and yanked it back causing me to topple backwards, "Jasmine, Alex and I would like some onion rings and since it's the two of us, can we go get it ourselves?". I gave the calmest look I could and it took me a while to think it through, if i let them go I'll get to talk to Luke and they will be roaming through the crowded mall alone without supervision, but on the other hand, if I go buy it instead Liana won't make me go alone and knowing her, she'll ask Luke to go with me, so there is actually no losing to this one."I'll go, you two can stay here with Liana and the others" I said as I dragged them to her,"Liana,I'm going to buy something for these two to eat" I said moving my index left to right above their heads. "And being the bestfriend that I am, I'm not letting you go alone. Luke can you come over here for a minute?"Liana said. Luke turned around and made his way to our table and stood next to me. His tall body waved over me, blocking the light from the bulbs in the store."You don't mind walking with Jasmine to get food for the twins don't you?"Liana said with pleasure in her eyes. Luke gave a little shrug and a gentlemanly smile as he awaited for me to walk out the door for him to follow.

We continued walking but didn't really talk, he just kept looking forward and said nothing with his hands in his pockets like he did in the car. It just feels like the more j like him, the more scarce our conversations get, it's just been getting more and more awkward between us and I hate it but I can't help the fact that I love this boy, I mean, who doesn't?He's the school's golden boy, liked by every single girl who ever attended 'BVHS' and is praised by every teacher at school, except Ms. Higgins. She's, well, she was our science teacher but now she teaches math. That's a story left for another time though. I wanted to say something but I didn't know what to say, so I just thought of the first thing that popped up at the back of my head,"Luke, have you ever liked a girl?"I blurted out as I turned my body to face him. I then recognized what I said and covered my mouth and slowly looked up at his face."You're asking me if I ever liked a girl?Yeah,why?"he answered. I didn't think to answer his question so instead I went with "How much?". That's when I lost it, I tried my best not to say anything or even look at him so instead I just resumed walking but pasted ahead of him to avoid conversation, but it was only a matter of time until he caught up."Umm... Jasmine, why do you want to know that?", he asked with his hands moving from his pants to his jacket pockets."I'm sorry about that, it just came out. Forget i said anything" I said, still avoiding eye contact. He sped up and stopped in front of me and I stopped also, and he looked down trying to catch a glimpse of my eyes but I turned away."Jasmine, what kind of question is that?Especially coming from you". Coming from me?what did that mean? I was determined to ask him but then I was completely interrupted,"LUKE, hi!".Luke raised up his head and then stared at the person with and embarrassed expression. "Bethany, you came". He said rubbing the back of his neck,"I thought you weren't coming"."I changed my mind" Bethany said. She was giving out the sticky sme when she turned in my direction."Oh hi Jasmine" she said. I just waved at her and turned my eyes to Luke,"I will go, you two can catch up on where you left off from earlier"."Ok but we are gonna have to talk about that little conversation later"he said waving his finger up and down in my face. I waved goodbye as they walked away and carried on with my business. After buying the food, I swiftly made my way back to popcorn palace and gave the twins their food and chatted with Liana until it was time for the movie
