One Crazy Semester

Part 4 :The movie:

Alliana(Liana) Benjamin. The best, friend of Jasmine and twin sister to Luke. Liana is the one who actually created this group of friends. She made a lot of friends on her first day due to her bravery and self confidence. Liana was always the confident one, she is never afraid to take risks and always loves a good adventure. Liana's light brown hair was always messy because she never really cared about her image. She wore a dark blue ripped jeans, along with a purple tank top and denim jacket with some sandals or either a jordans in her foot.She likes Zach but has a very funny way of showing it and never backs down a good game of truth or dare.

It was time for the movie so we made our way to the ticket booth and walked into the theater. I was actually a bit nervous inside because I didn't know who I was actually sitting next to and I was really hoping that it would've been Luke but when I finally decided to ask him, this happened."Luke your sitting next to me right?"Bethany asked with her arm in his,"Uh yeah,sure"he answered.There was a part of me that just wanted to go up and ask him to sit with me even though Bethany already asked but I just got scared and sat with my siblings

We all sat down and the previews began. The lights dimmed and the movie commenced."Umm...We have a minor problem" Alexa said poking my arm.I was prepared to loose it but I calmly asked,"What's wrong?".She gave me 'the look' and continued poking my shoulder,"We need to go to the bathroom".I was even more angry than I was before to think,"How in the world do you two need to use the bathroom at the same time?".They both gave me one of their million dollar shrugs and I rolled my eyes. I just wanted this night to end so I can go home and binge watch some movies."I have no idea how I'm doing this but I guess I'll have to try something"I said.We quietly tip-toed out the theater and made our way through the crowd and into the pre-entrance of the bathrooms."Ok" I said rubbing my temples,"Got any ideas?".They both just looked at me and then at each other and shook their heads."Great"i said and placed my palm on my forehead.

It took us a while to figure out something and that got me even more furious because we were missing out half of the movie."Alex, you can go in alone.Your old enough"i said, he gave a small nod and was about to walk inside when someone grappled his shoulder. Alex turned to see who it was as he prepared himself with clenched fists but when he turned around we saw Luke. Alex gave a sigh of relief. "Heard that you needed some help, Liana asked me to come"Luke said."No thanks, I can handle it, go ahead and meet back up with your girlfriend, we'll be alright"I answered back with folded arms. At first he was a little confused by my angry comment but then he found out what I was actually saying."Yeah,ok. You see Bethany and I are not together just friends, we don't like eachother"he said. I mumbled,"Well you sure have a funny way of showing it" and luckily he didn't hear me"Look I got this alright? You can go back into the theater with your 'friend' and I will handle this."I said trying to shoo him away. He was about to walk away in silence when Alex made a move and gripped his hand, pulling him into the men's restroom and Alexa did the same with me.

In the men's restroom

Luke was outside near the sinks while he awaited Alex's return. Alex opened the door and washed his hands in silence "So, what's been going on with you guys lately?"Luke asked swinging his hands back and forth."Nothing really, just some problems we're facing but slowly getting through it"Alex answered still focused on washing his hands,"what kind of problems?"Luke asked."I'm not allowed to say anything" he said as he looked up at Luke."Not even to me?" Luke asked."I can't,I'll get in trouble"Alex answered."Alex it's me,remember?I'm like the big brother you've always wanted. C'mon you can tell me, I promise I won't say a word to anyone"Luke motions to zipping his lips and throwing away the key. "Ok",Alex let out a heavy sigh "It started at times in between the vacation, where Jasmine and Jazzy went to their interviews to apply to B.V.C so that they can get in. It took a few weeks for them to write back but when they did, there was only one letter in the mailbox. When they opened it, the letter was for Jazzy alone but Jasmine didn't get hers. Everyone thought there was a mix up so mom called them and figured out that there was nothing wrong. Jasmine just didn't get in."Alex faced the floor. Luke took a step forward and held Alex on his shoulder then had a worried look on his face"What do you mean she didn't get in?"he asked. Alex looked up at him,"she didn't get a letter saying that she got in. A week after, they called again saying that there was only one space left for Jasmine but she had to earn it."Luke with furrowed brows and his mouth slightly opened asked,"Earn it?Meaning?","she has to do a test, a really hard one that determines how well she is and if she's capable in getting in, so mom and dad is going to have her staying home after school and they're hiring a tutor for her to help with her weaknesses and strengths."Alex replied."So this is going to be her last time hanging out with us until college?"Luke questioned as he took a step back."I'm afraid so"Alex answered fixing his glasses. Luke scoffed and shook off the water from his hands but then, got an idea "Do you happen to know and of Jasmine's weak subjects?"he asked with a small hint of excitement in his voice. Alex simply stared at him in confusion and said "Yeah why?" But Luke just ignored him and dried off his hands and walked out of the bathroom as Alex followed."Let's wait for your sisters"he said and Alex nodded in agreement

In the women's restroom

It wasn't as packed as expected and Alexa was in a bathroom stall while I was leaning against one of the wet counters where the sinks were."Jasmine" she said "Will you ever tell Luke how you feel about him?". I just shrugged and said "No", as I heard the toilet flush and the stall open, Alexa simply rolled up her sleeves and headed to the sinks,"But why?Don't you love him?","Love is a strong word Alexa, I wouldn't use it to describe how I feel about Luke" I answered arms folded, "Then how do you feel? As far as I know, you've known him before you even met Liana and that was in the first grade, I know I wasn't born at that time but, Liana told me and I thought it was kind of bizarre since Liana was a small part of the reason you ended up liking Luke in the first place. So how did you feel about Luke before and after you met Liana?". Before and after? I thought to myself, it was basically all a blur and I don't even remember how I started liking Luke. Surprised Liana remembered, I was determined to ask Alexa what Liana told her but what if I didn't even know why I like him what if... I just liked him because everyone thinks I do. Do I?. I got so lost in my thoughts i completely forgot about Alexa and her question and as I jumped at the sound of her voice, she just simply responded, "I can see that you're questioning yourself so there's no need to answer that question but if you wanna stay here and question yourself all day, go for it, but I have a movie to watch" and with that we walked out of the bathroom and met with Luke and Alex.

I was still trying to arrange my thoughts and converse at the same but I just couldn't so I bagged all my thoughts at the back of my head. "Okay thank you Luke for taking Alex to the restroom for me and as you can see I have got it all under control from here so if you don't mind, we have a movie to continue" I said as I wrapped my arms around my sister and brother with a fake smile on my face and the longer he stood there the more my face hurt. "You do know that we're going in the same direction right?". At the moment, I just wanted to roll my eyes, not in the mean, annoyed way but in the more 'I'm really not in the mood to talk to you because I don't exactly know how I feel about you and right now you're in the movies with a girl who doesn't even like me' kinda way. But instead, I nodded awkwardly and gestured for Alexa and Alex to walk inside first. As they walked, Luke and myself followed and he leaned into my ear, "Can I talk to you as soon as the movie's over, it's important" and again, I awkwardly nodded. We all returned to our seats and resumed watching the movie.
